Goblin 18 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Yep, Its absolutely **** pony. This is a FLAME post, don't read or read doesn't matter but VA Standarts and APP format is all silly and worthless. Its something needed but seriously wtf? Look at this; A middle aged man, a young wife, and a small male child are walking down the King’s Road together. The women walks with a long staff, and the man appears to have a scabbard at his side. What do you expect me to do here? They are passing KINGS ROAD, ITS NOT EVEN IN ASULON. So WHAT? Want me to torture them, take their skulls off and put them on a spear?! They walk down *******awesome KINGS ROAD, I SEE NOTHING WRONG HERE. This; Two Guard tries to break up a fight between your acquaintance and two Goblins. Your friend slays one of the Guards as he approaches, causing the other Guard as well as the Goblins to unsheath their arms. I'm a GOBLIN, Why the **** would i fight my OWN race? AND THIS; You hear knocking on your door and go to answer. It turns out to be an angry looking woman with a large human behind her. She is telling you that you owe taxes to King ___ and must pay within the fortday. The HELL? WE Don't pay taxes at ORC CAPITAL. Another question in VA. Are you sure? NO, *******absolutley NO. I'm not sure because I'm posting this app without agreeing with rules! For gods sake, Prepare a NEW VA App for ASULON. For one why would he be walking on the Kings road when he has a ship? Another one is he wouldn't be paying taxes because he wouldn't own a house since he is a pirate and lives on a ship. These questions need to be updated because sometimes there just impossible or very hard to do. The questions are mainly so the VAT could 'get into the head' of your character. They want to know your thought processes. What would you be thinking if faced with that situation? I am not VAT, but I can say with some confidence that one would probably agree with me. Cappy 1599 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Assume your character is in each position, regardless of their normal situations It's designed to test not only your knowledge of your character, but your creative role-playing abilities as well. So what if they normally wouldn't be there... that's the point of the question. If they somehow were, what would they do? I do agree that some of the questions should have their wording changed to fit Asulon rather than Aegis, and the one about the undead needs to be completely redone. Lirinya 4021 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Then don't write answers which means you kill them? Be creative, give your character boundaries. Moral boundaries. For example one person may hide and ambush somebody, whilst the other may simply walk past, taking go interest in them. Yes the questions are out dated, but suggest something else other than complain. There cannot be an app for every individual person. If you're a goblin, and there is athe question relating to the goblins, say something like 'because of his race, he does little'. Use imagination.
