We have added a new crafting recipe into the game, it is primarily aimed towards huntsmen either for a strategic escape or picking up that easy kill.

I am pleased to announce that "Web Traps" are now craftable, but not to everyone. Only, archers or hunters if you like, have the guile to piece together these ingenious traps which will certainly improve your survivability when hunting.

You will be required to have at least 45 in the archery skillset to craft these traps. There is also a chance that you may fail crafting the traps.

This is cool, the patch along with all these new additions is making Lord of the Craft have more opportunities for role-play. I'm loving these patches so far.

I think the Admin Team should compile a long list of features that have been added into the game and create a permanent page for them to show new players what is in store for them. Just a suggestion. :P

can it be used on other players, hope? not just mobs?

It works in the same way normal web does, only a craftable version for people of the required skill to make and use/sell. If a player is going to use these traps in an rp situation with other players, I expect them to rp setting up the trap rather than just plonking it down as they sprint.

Robin Drake, what particularly does this Web Trap do may I ask?

Why would people use these instead of normal webs?

I'm quite sure they have the same functions except with this recipe they are easier to get.

Other than decoration in spooky forests or abandoned buildings, webs hold little to none rp use. The only feasible thing which they are commonly used for is in traps. It is not a matter of using these instead of web, it is more the case of making web craftable, with an rp use.

I personally have always thought of web as a form of trap, even in the days before I was a GM, I would venture around purchasing web from shops which stocked it, and used it as a trap in which I lured pigmen into.

I'll recode regions a bit so that you can place these traps in regioned areas, they just vanish after a lil while aye? :P.

This is going to be soooo good.

I prefer traps that drop someone almost to there doom, only be get caught in a web.... relief short lived when they realize after they fully sink through the web that lava awaits there impending fall.

I find it harder to get string then cobwebs. But meh, good idea!
