The Creative Cafe

As many of you know, the Creative Cafe was a great way for many members of the community to get together and have a good laugh, while enjoying the wonderful performances. For those of you who do not know what the Creative Cafe is, or have heard little about it, continue reading for a full explanation.

The Creative Cafe was originally founded by Arik while Auvreaeath and Sparrow assisted him. Together they organized the event, and overall it was a great hit and became very popular within our community. What is the Creative Cafe (or CC for short)? It is essentially an event that was held weekly that anyone from our community could share their stories, sing songs/karaoke, play their mixes, and of course, show their talent with their instruments; all through our LotC Teamspeak channel. After the event, a poll would be held to determine the top three winners. At the end of the month there was a championship comprised of all of the weekly winners who would compete for the grand prize.

Now, as many of you know, the CC has been in a state of inactivity as of late, and I hope to change that. I have spoken with Arik, and I have his permission to 'reboot' the Creative Cafe. The fundamental structure will remain the same, but I will handle things slightly differently.

Below is a list of performances that you may submit to share with the community.

• Sing a song
  
• Play an instrument
  
• Share a mix
  
• Tell a story/poem

I may add to this list as ideas and suggestions come to me, but that is the usual performances that we have. Anyone will be able to perform, but below is a list of rules/guidelines that I have set in place.

• Your performance must not exceed 5 minutes (there may be exceptions).
  
• If you are telling a story or a poem, it must be written by you.
  
• You may be disqualified if you fail to follow any of these rules.

This list may be changed at any time.

The prizes have not been set in stone, but they will likely be minas or special items. On top of that, our monthly championship winners will (hopefully) receive an IG prefix that will be viewable when they speak in OOC chat. Again, please keep in mind that the prizes and rewards can and will likely change before the first Creative Cafe.

Additionally, during intermission you can request to perform as well, but you will not be eligible for prizes. This is for those who wish to play music, sing songs, etc, for fun. If we have no performances, it will be a quiet/break time. You may also request an encore after all performances have finished.

More information will be shared as I organize everything and prepare for the upcoming Creative Cafe. Begin practicing now!
