Conquest:

Conquest is the act of military subjugation of an enemy by force of arms. In other words it is the de jure incorporation of some territory into another geo-political entity (either adjacent or non-contiguous). Usually, it is implied that the territory and population being annexed is the smaller, more peripheral, and weaker of the two merging entities, barring physical size.

Mirtok steps out of the dreaded Fickloch in mid stretch as he looking out towards the endless sea. The image reminds of the betrayers of the past, the fools who dared defy The Order. An amusing memory occupies Mirtok's thoughts- Billow and the Wolverines under going his latest tests! He shakes the image away and sets sail for Wachter Stadt.

Upon his throne is sitting a small letter that has the words Hochmeister scrawled on a corner. He reads its contents; A request to meet in the university with an urgent matter. Mirtok pockets the letter and collects his war hammer on the way to the university. Upon arrival a man dressed in black and yellow garbs with a white tabard is awaiting him- a soulblade and former pirate. . .

“Well?”

“I have information that I would like to trade for a pardonship.”

“Pardon? What would you like pardoned?”

“My crimes for being a Crimson Pirate and a brother of Billow.”

*Mirtok chuckles and takes out his mighty war hammer. “Big mistake.”

“I have information on his daughter and the Crusader States.”

“What ever you have, I don’t need. I am not interested in them.”

“Their base? I have everything on them. Billow is dead.”

*Steps closer. “Once a pirate, always a pirate.”

“I turned him in. No! I am a brother of Ardir, I have changed my ways!”

*Raises the hammer. “I do not care, it doesn't matter what you do or who you know, you were a pirate and now you have to die.”

“I have info on what his daughter planes to do to Oren.”

*Drops the hammer over his head. “I could take you to Fickloch, you’d make a wonderful test subject.:

“I have information that is a direct threat to the crown.!”

*Steps on his neck. “Tell me everything.”

*Tries to breath and gasps. “I can bring you to where his daughter is, I can show you everything.”

*lets his foot off his neck a little. “Tell me.”

“Ok, I turned in Billow, he died. He had a daughter, she has tried to restart the Pirates and has now started the crusader states. I went in there and betrayed her. She is planning on destroying and ruining Oren. And before Billow died he told Ardir something important. I couldnt make it out but I believe it was a threat to Oren. She has made their base on Dawn’s old island. It is by D’hara, I can take you there.”

“No need; Anything more to say?”

“She has massive walls that are very hard to penetrate, but there is a way in. I have nothing more to say.”

*Remove his foot from his neck. “Get up, mark every one of their locations on this map.”

*Gets up, accepts the map and marks off the locations. “There are four small ships guarding the island as well and a big one. And I always wondered why Ardir was quick to kill Billow.”

*Raises his hammer for a swing. “Lets see if the monks think you are worthy of another life.” *Stricks the man on the head shattering his skull.

*Mirtok leaves the bloodied corps for one of his Sariants to dispose of in the pits and walks off towards the cloud temple. He make his way to the temple docks and boards the Oren boat. Mirtok opens a barrel and takes out its contents, a slightly ragged book. He gives the book a quick look over then opens it up.

"Lets see what these men were really up to."

Irba, 32nd of Snows Maiden, Year 47 of the Realm of Asulon

This is Grand Sariant Dain of the Teutonic Order. This report and all following reports in this journal are classified and for the Hochmeister’s eyes only. Mirtok has given me a mission of the utmost importance. This mission involves infiltrating and gathering information on the group of heathens and heretics known as the Crusader States. Whilst on this mission I am to make no contact with any Sariants and I am not to admit I am of the Teutonic Order. I have taken on a disguise to aid me in this most noble endeavor. The timeframe for this mission is unknown, and I am to do whatever is necessary to acquire information on this dangerous group. I made contact with the leader of the Crusader States on the date listed at the heading of this report. Their leaders are Draco Natus II and Vanessa. Draco is the leader of the land division of forces and the son of a Sariant- most likely Draco due to the name similarities. Vanessa heads the naval division. I have only made contact with Draco, though he has told me of his fellow leader Vanessa. Whilst meeting with Draco, I met a few other of his men. They had no visible uniform, but were armored in chainmail garb. The only weapons seen were iron weapons.

The objectives I have been told of the CS are as follows:

1. Engage in a false crusade against against the “Kings of Asulon who do not support independence.”

2. Fight for independence and freedom from “The Oren Empire and all others who are against us.”

3. Aid other resistance groups in their fight against the Empire.

I must say I question their motives because as far as I know they swear fealty to no King or Empire. As such, I see no reason as to why they would fight for independence, though this matters not to the Hochmeister’s mission.

As far as extra information, there is one thing to add. Though the exact locations are unknown, there are 3 separate “states” that are operated by the CS. Also, it is known that they have at least one working warship. I hope to infiltrate the ranks of the CS further in the coming weeks and discover more information for the Order. *Mirtok snaps the book shut and chuckles to himself . . .

"The daughter of a traitor and the son of an oath breaker think they can bring down the might of the Empire? We shall see how they handle The Order, I am sure Godfrey would be most interested to see this report."

*Mirtok returns to the frozen lands of Hanseti and prepares his Sariants in the Wachter Stadt keep. Each brother and sister out fitted with the Order's finest gear- clanking as the wearer shuffles through the ranks of the Teutons. Mirtok looks down from atop his balcony, a smile working on his ghoulish face. Mirtok brings his hands to rest upon the railing before shouting down to his soldiers . . .

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides with the iniquities of the selfish and the foolishness of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of honor, valor, and righteousness, fights for the values of the Order, for he is truly his brother's keeper. And I will strike down upon those with the great vengeance of the Order and with furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know that my name is of the Order when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Brothers! Sisters! We rally forth to vanquish evil men; Men who wish us all harm!; Men that wish our mighty Emperor death!; Men that wish to take our shatter our lands for the selfish desire of a false independence! May Celestia smile upon us on this day!

Dain raises his war axe high in the air as Mirtok finishes speaking. He chants back in unison with his fellow Sariants,

The Dwarvern Sariant smiles as he knows his information has aided in the downfall of these false crusaders and brigands.
