If you "Need" That ground so badly, then make a charter, if you're over 5 people to attack the village, it could be much easier to just make a charter and make all of the members support it, I would gladly support it if you made one and cancelled this war claim. And I'm also pretty sure Mr. Fireeyes would do that too.

And if you make a charter you can chose 100% what land you want.

I would not rather have the warclaim but infact I was in the progress of building my own fort. My greedy bandit character thought he would gain some mina from the tower and so he attempted to. When you say pillage, it means everyone around was stealing. I was the only one stealing and it wasn't pillaging it was armed robbery, which I have in my VA.

He came to you with two people. The rest of us watched as we didn't want to be killed getting in the way of people wearing full diamond with gold/diamond weapons. If we would have fought them we would have died.

Many others are available? I've found one other ruin in the forest that we also hope to take at a later date. We don't want to build a fort/castle or anything like that, we'd like to use the environment around us. It just so happens that this ruin does that. If war claiming this makes me a jerk, then I'm a jerk.

Did Maple Port do anything to provoke Oren? Did anyone do anything to provoke Zalm? Was Kyral provoked by anyone? Did Godfrey provoke Coaster when he wanted to rebel? Did Hanseti provoke Renatus months ago?

I didn't even die in your tower ;| My reasons have nothing to do with "mob death". I'm not obsessed with items, I couldn't care about them. I'm not bothered about winning either. We're a medium sized faction with no where to stay, and we've chose this place to settle down.
