Minecraft Account Name:

Preston19

How old are you?:

13

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

-6:00 Central Time Usa

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes, I do. I take Advanced Language Arts classes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I love to play Minecraft. I am very smart for my age, I can be very creative if its for something I want to do. (This is an example.)

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

5-7 days a week, and anywhere between 2-8 hours a day. Depends on if I have school, and/or an event on that day.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Role playing is when you take a role of a character. (the character does not have to be anything like the player) You could make a completely new person in the world of a game. To me it is creating a life in another game (or if you do it in real life, then another you.) and seeing where life takes you. It can be anything from space to fantasy to medieval times to about any time in history to any time that hasn't happened yet.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

My Role Playing Experiences

I have experiences role playing on other Minecraft servers. On a server i own I take the role of a paid assassin. Then on Roblox I played a few role playing servers. I mainly played medieval ones.

One was a castle life role play. The other was a dragon/wizard server when we role played eragon. It is part of why i now love to role play. I played DDO.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-Gaming

Meta-gaming is when you use out of game knowledge and use it in game. So like I use the Lord of the Craft map and know that I am approaching a city, but my player doesn't know that the town is close. It is basically an ability that helps a player know where there going. So instead of aimless wondering it will help you know where you are going. Also lets say you have a skype while you are LotC and your friend is also on Skype and LotC and a bandit comes and tries to mug you. you tell your friend and he comes to rescue you. Meta-gaming is using knowledge out of game to help you in game.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:

Power-emoting

It is when you is the description of abuse when the player uses an emote to describe an action it is also referred to god emoting because it makes it to where the other player can not respond, basically making you ultimately undefetable or to where the other player can not respond at all. This is because it does not give the player a chance to respond.

Power-emoted version

I chop Justin's head off.

Correct version

I swing my sword at Justin's head.

The correct version allows Justin to respond, allowing him a chance to defend himself.

Also this includes doing something that you can't normally do in real life. Like jumping of a cliff and landing on a rock and being perfectly fine, when you are trying to escape from someone. Power-emoting is ultimately making yourself undefetable by another player.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I have been wandering spirit for about 1 month and 1 week so i now have seen and know what to expect of the server. So I see a lot of people role playing having a good time, and I just expect to have a fun time.

I have talked to members in game, and I always ask about how to roleplay.

They told how to do an action or emote by using this *

So this is what it would look like.

In the chat bar:

*moves to sidestep the attack.

How it looks when said:

Balrog Fardair moves to sidestep the attack.

I have asked questions to figure this out, because I wanted to know how to. This way I don't have to ask in game.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Most server's I leave because I get killed by random people(mobs or people) and I never get a chance to really get a good start. It's that or there boring, and they aren't fun.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes I have. Took me about 4 minutes. I read kinda slow.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

I promise to follow the rules and if I break one I promise to take the punishment if ever needed, but I doubt a punishment will probably ever be needed.

How did you hear about us?:

I found a video on youtube. It was your official trailer. It was a really cool trailer, it was a really good trailer.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:If this is on this sight then I can't find where they currently are. I think they might have been deleted. I never applied on another site.

In-Character:

Character Name:

Balrog Fardair

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) :

Orc

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

Shaman

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Balrog's Information

Balrog is 16. He is 8foot 3inches. He ways around 278 pounds. Balrog has red skin. He has black hair. He wears a black loincloth. He has a leather strap that goes across his body

Balrog's Skills

Balrog is not particularly good at anything other than fighting and hunting. Balrog tried blacksmithing with little success. He was no where near as good as his father. Balrog tried fishing. He just never had any luck at it. Balrog will just use the skills of fighting, for he is not good at anything else. Balrog is a Shaman Orc, so he enjoys learning more than the average Orc. But until our story meets were I left of Balrog knows no magic.

Balrog's Personality

Balrog loves to train, because he knows he is getting stronger. He loves to fight, but to him it is part of his life. He wants to win, but he doesn't mind losing. Losing to him means that he needs to get stronger. Losing is another stepping stone to the path of winning. That is what losing is to Balrog. Balrog's favorite thing to do other than fight is to hunt. One thing that Balrog always wanted was a hunting partner, a dog. Another thing Balrog enjoyed was learning. Not things like math, but things like history and famous battles and how they were won. He liked to learn about battle strategies. He only liked to learn about wars and winning them. Balrog as all Orcs believe that eating and drinking are a necessity of life. He believes everything Orcs believe in. He is just a normal Orc.

Setting

Balrog was born in a small village in the middle of the desert. The village was pretty small. There forest surrounding the desert, but the desert was still quite large. The village goes without a name, for it isn't large or apart of a clan. Also there was no need for it to be reached. For the village had nothing to trade, and there was nothing famous about it. It just stayed an unnamed settlement, in which a few Orcs live. Nothing happened in the village or desert.

Ages 0-1

Balrog was born into the orc war and culture. There was nothing special about his parents. His dad fought in a fight with the elves. Balrog's father had crafted Balrog's sword 1 month before Balrog was born. Balrog's sword was incredibly made. It was not dwarf quality, but it was excellent quality for an orc. As a cub Balrog had always tried to fight. He fought anything.

Ages 2-3

Balrog now excersized daily. Balrog excersized day and night. He lifted rocks. He did anything to get stronger. He didn't go to crazy because he was still a young cub. He started to walk. He started to run. This was also the age when Balrog's village elders, around a fire with the rest of the village. told Balrog The Story of the creation of Aegis, and he also told Balrog what happened with the Ilbees. Balrog Really loved to hear about Krug and how he attacked the Ilbees and how he led the charge, he was the reason they beat the Ilbees. He had no armour and no weapons, and Krug just attacked. When he touched the Ilbees, Krug's skin burned and decayed. Then Krug continued attack, he never gave up. He kept fighting for 30 years. Then even when the Ilbees where about to win Krug never gave up. Balrog always wanted to be just like Krug.

Ages 4-7

Balrog was learning to spar. He spared other cubs. Balrog usually won, but some just had a better strategy. No one ever beat Balrog twice. Balrog was always thought to be strong, no other orc questioned that one day Balrog would help defend the desert that the orcs loved, from any who wished to take it. Balrog kept training, he started running. Now Balrog realized that being like Krug was in his blood. Balrog now trained even harder. Balrog learned new sword ways to fight with a sword. Balrog got his first axe, it was made by his father. It was made with even greater quality than his sword. He learned how to use effectively really quick.

Ages 8-10

Balrog was even stronger now. Balrog was also training every second of every minute of every hour hour of every day of every week. Becoming stronger was his life now. He was now able to defeat most he fought now. He was able to fight Orcs 1 year older than him and give them a fair fight. (He most likely lost, but he still learned how to fight.) Sparring was his favorite hobby. His father told him that he was going to make a big difference in any battle he fought in. That meant a lot to Balrog. High ranked orcs also agrred with Balrog's father.

Ages 11-13

Balrog was now preparing training officially to be able to respond to fight. Now even if war did break out right then he wouldn't be able to fight, because they wait for the orcs to reach maturity at the age of 15. These fights would be from anyone, Dwarves, Elves, or Humans. They do this so they are considered to an adult and no longer a cub. Balrog was excited to know he was going to be able to actually fight in there army in just a few years. They training overseers saw Balrog's skill and decided that they would keep an eye on him to see if would be a worthy commander, for their town militia. They decided the decision would be made when Balrog was 14.

Age 14

This was when they decided to see if Balrog would make a good commander. They tested his strength, his commanding abilities, and his strategy.

For his strength they found he was matched by few.

For his leadership they found that many orcs respected him for his strength.

For his strategy they found was very smart even under pressure. (this was the first time they even thought he might be a Shaman.)

They decided he would make a great leader. So they assigned him a troop of a few orcs he had grown up with. Balrog trained his troops hard all day every day. Every day the travelers were getting spotted in the desert. Most were friendly. No one was attacked.

Age 15

Balrog was on his daily run when he spotted a rogue elf. The elf pulled out his bow. Balrog charged the elf. The elf shot. Balrog is hit by the arrow in his weak arm, but it does not faze him at all. Balrog reached the elf and went to punch him. The Elf moved his bow in between him and Balrog's fist. The bow slowed down Balrog's punch with such ineffectiveness it actually broke his bow in half, and Balrog still hit the rogue. The rogue Elf flew to the sand. Balrog pulled out his sword, and moved to stab the Elf. The Elf looked at me as I went to stab. He pulled out a knife. I bring the sword down. He blocks it with the knife. The blow from the sword knocked the knife out of the Elf's hand. The Elf moves toward the knife. Balrog swings again. The Elf was still struggling to reach the knife. Balrog hit. The Elf lay motionless on the desert sand. Balrog rushed to his town.

Balrog reached the town, and told the militia commander what had happened. The commander told him about a few more Elf sightings in the past day. He told Balrog that they believed there to be 4 Elves. This did not include the one Balrog found in the desert. The commander let Balrog take his troops of 3 Orcs with him to the Rogue Elf's lair. The commander told Balrog where the most likely location of the lair was. Balrog was given the option of either using a flattener or a 2 handed sword or a two handed two bladed sword, but he prefered to use his sword, and axe.

Balrog's troops set off early in the morning. They walked and walked until they were out of the desert. They reached the forest. They saw some smoke coming from the area that their militia commander said the rogues were at. They walked till they saw the source of the smoke. It was a small forest hut, big enough for about 4-5 people. Balrog thought that they could just use a mancrusher or slapper and bring the hut down and that would be problem solved. But they didn't have the siege weapons. They searched around the cabin to find 2 doors. Balrog had 2 Orcs go in one and he and another Orc went in the other. Balrog yelled out "Ga"( I am trying to speak like an Orc in this and the open response questions.) Balrog kicked the door in along with the Orcs on the other side. Balrog was inside. He saw 4 Elves jump toward their bows. Balrog ran towards one and swung. The Elf was bent down grabbing his bow. The Elf looked up as soon as Balrog's axe hit him. 2 of Balrog's troops got hit by arrows. 1 died. The other was hurt, but it was to early to tell if it fatal. 2 Rogues were left. One shot an arrow at the already injured Orc. This killed the Orc. It was 2 on 2. Balrog and the other Orc charged the rouges. Balrog swung his axe as the rouge drew his bow. Balrog hit the bow and then cut most of the rouges arm off. Balrog swung again. The rouge fumbled for his knife, but to late Balrog hit. The Elf fell to the floor in a lifeless heap. Balrog looked to his companion who had 2 arrows in him. Balrog walked behind the rouge and swung his axe. The Elf did't notice Balrog, and the Elf drew his bow. Balrog hit the Elf. The Elf fell to the floor with his fallen companions. Balrog looked at his remaining troop. Balrog realized it was an Orc he sparred with regularly, and Balrog was quite fond of him as a friend. Balrog asked, "arg you ok?" The Orc responded, "ya, I beh fineh." The Orcs returned to camp to tell the news of the rouges defeat. Balrog was the idea of leaving the village. Balrog pondered the idea for a while. Balrog decided upon turning 16 he would leave.

Age 16

Upon turning 16 Balrog kept his promise of leaving the village. He left being told that there was a chance he might be a Shaman. Upon being told this Balrog promised he would find the Shamans and find out if this was true. (which it is, but I know this out of character not in character.) Balrog set off to explore the world.

And this is where the story of Balrog Fardair meets up with us now.

What are your Character's ambitions?:

Hunting, sparring, fighting, and working out. He wanted to one day travel across the known world, and find the strongest Orcs. He wants to know what there secret to their strength is. One other thing is once my character found out that he is potentially a Shaman he wants to try and take on the role of a Cleric combined with a Paladin role. He wants to be a skilled mage with the abilities to use swords and axes in a pinch when an enemy gets to close. But without the healing and holy parts. And he never wants to be a necromancer because Orcs hate them.

Balrog also wants to get a pet dog.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):Axe because as an Orc it is one of there chosen weapons.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Fighting(unarmed, axes, and swords.)

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ):When I try to take a to change the view of my character it won't let. I use a laptop where all the f# buttons are all have a different option on them. Like brightness, sound full screen, so basically I can't get a picture. If you need one find me in game and take a picture.

But I can give a description.

http://oi45.tinypic.com/rhpkdf.jpg

There is also this if this works.

2eywgvp.png

Don't know if that will work^ also one more

fvldv5.png

If that is upside down^ I am sorry my computer is weird.

I followed the guide made by Danny~ so I put the forum picture up, If it doesn't work I apologize, but I tried all I could. 4 different attempts for a pic/desc.

Then finally if none of the above work there is a description.

He is red skinned, he has a leather strap that cross his chest and back,(there is a diamond axe on his back.) and he wears a loincloth. All of these clothes are black.

I would like to mention my skin was made by someone on the server (Ryno2). So if nothing works you might want to ask him.

Other Information about your Character:

My character loves a good challenging fight. He loves to eat meat.

Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Please tell me of what you think of my speaking like an Orc. It is not Blah, though.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I walk up to the armed warriors. The warriors see me and back up, because they see I am a large orc.

I say "leve Duh Hafwing awone." Now I pull my axe out. The warriors now say "Two of us one of him lets get him." The warriors go to grab there swords from there sheath. While the warriors try to grab there swords from there sheath, I bring my axe down on one. The warrior couldn't retaliate, for his sword was still in his sheath. Then the other final warrior moves to swing the sword at me. I attempt to sidestep, but he nicks my arm. It wasn't serious or even close to fatal, but still reasonably painful. The warrior was not a wise man, for he thought that he was winning. I kick his stomach. The warrior was caught off guard, and he flew to the ground. I take my axe, as the warior looks for his sword move to him. The warrior moves away from me, but he doesn't know where I am. I reach the warrior, and as he reaches for his sword I swing. The warrior lays lifeless on the ground. The halfling looks at me and asks "Why did you save me strong orc?" I said, "I may beh an orc but I am good in duh hert, not a monder or evi."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a

small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

I say,"elo der may I see dat ou ave." The man said,"I have swords from the dwarves, finest crafters in the world." I say,"Wuh the stonget you hav?" The man says, " I have Iron." I rub my tusk as I think. "I tak ion sord how muc?' I say. "50 minas,"he says. I say,"I tak it." I pay him the 50 minas. He says," pleasure doin buiseness."

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

I leave the cabin alone, for if I was in the wilderness it would not be to steal. I would just keep walking. I have reasons to do something. My character is honorable, and he believes that stealing id dishonorable. Plus Balrog would feel guilty, for he gets a guilty felling real easy. So thst would be pretty bad for him. Plus if I was in the forest then I would have my own weapon and armour. Until I get a villains application none of my reason's are to steal, that is my OOC answer.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

I say, "elo, an i et ome irectons to my cwan pweaze?" I rub my stomach due to hunger. The traders tell me to wait a second to find a map and food. One trader asks if they can come to my clan's home. I respond with, "As wong as you ave stong wepons an rmor." The trader says that they do and that the weapons are perfect for orcs. The other traders come back with food and a map. Then the come with me to orc lands, but the trading wasn't very successful. The orcs didn't find the traders to be strong. so in a week the traders left.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

I approach the townguard. I say,"I wan o figh badit."

The leader says,"well we would love an orc aboard our team."As we prepare to leave I grab my axe and sword. As we wait I think about the stories of the mighty Krug when he fought the Ilbees. The bravery and honor. He had no armour and unarmed. His bravery led them to win their fight against the Ilbees. I thought how I wanted nothing more than to lead a fight like Krug. We started to leave. I was at the front of the pack of the guard they all seperated. I was the only one to find there footprinnts. Within 10 minutes of walking I found there camp. There were 3 bandits. The first was asleep. I walk behind him and swing my axe. It went straight into his head, killing him instantly. Then I go to hit one of the other bandits. I swing my axe. He jumped, but I still got his leg. He screams in pain. I move to the other bandit and swing. With his short sword he goes to block. My axe instantly breaks the sword. I swing again and he sidesteps. I swing again, but he dodges again. I swing again , but the bandit dodges the wrong way and gets slaughtered. I take my axe and swing at the downed bandit. He dies. I rendezvous with the remaining guard. "I killad al dee badits,"I said. The guard says "Heres your reward orc." They gave me 300 minas.

Anything else you would like to say?: Yes.

Let me start with thank you for reading this far in my application, I really appreciate it.

I really tried hard on this app. I read about 2 hours of stuff to make it better. I also took about 20 hours (over the course of 3 days) on the actual application. I actually enjoyed some of this application that is why I took that much time. But if I don't get accepted I wish your server the best of luck through out the rest of its days.

Please tell me parts you liked, and didn't like as much.

Thank you.

Sincerest regards,

Preston19
