Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:I am a native English Speaker and have Role Played long enough to have a decent grip on the English language.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I have been Role Playing for six years now on a variety of sources. I enjoy a good story more than just a good fight. That said, However, I believe that conflict is the driving force behind every story and that to ignore it invites awful RP.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I work 40 hours a week, so the rest of the time. I tend to get very involved in whatever RP I do.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Roleplaying is working together with a group of people to weave a story. Its about accepting what logically would happen in a situation, even if that means you die or lose everything. Life isnt fair, and neither is roleplay. That said, I believe a roleplayer's first responsibility is to the greater story at hand.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Six Years of Roleplay on BYOND, Two years of Roleplay on various Forums (The Star Wars RP most recently), and 1 year of Text Based RP through a third party client program.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta Gaming is, at its simplest, using outside or OOC Knowledge to effect what your character does. For example, if your friend Skypes you and says "OMG DUDE! BANDITS AT BASE! GOGOGOOGOG" It would be metagaming to flock there. The legit thing to do is let the place burn to the ground, then ICly flip out when you get home.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: I assume that by power emoting you mean Godmodding. In that case, Its when you write an RP in such a way that procludes any possibility of countering it. AKA *Bob Stabs Terry in the stomach, killing him instantly* This is Unacceptable RP, and bad for the story.

In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is: OOC is any action taken out of character. This includes going places your Char wouldnt go on his own or even just the discussions held via brackets to discuss daily goings on. OOC should never effect IC.

In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is: IC is any action taken by your character in a roleplaying environment. All interaction with other characters that effects the In Game world should be IC. Otherwise, you are bringing OOC into IC, which is retarded and most likely Ban Worthy.

What do you expect this server will be like?:I have heard very good things about this server from a friend of mine who recently joined. Im actually applying at his behest.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I never really did much multiplayer minecraft. Mostly because the rules on the servers were just too vague.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have.

How did you hear about us?: A friend of mine who used to Admin with me on BYOND told me.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Veritus Vael was born in the wilds of the Elven Peninsula, at home among the trees. His father was a fisherman, working on the coast. His mother was a Hunter, a superb marksman who taught young Veritus how to hunt and take care of himself in the forests. While he inherited his mother's skill with a bow, he took after his father's sense of humor and fun. This sense of fun was the defining feature of his Childhood, and more often than not got him into trouble with the locals. Vael was raised by his mother, and never really got to know his father.

Personality wise, Veritus is an adventurous soul who is more at home under the stars than in a big city. While all elves have some connection to the forests, Veritus also has a strong connection to the sea. The idea of sailing and working the water is in his blood, if not his past. That said, If Veritus ever found himself in the desert, he would probably go mad from the distinct lack of water or trees. While not outright friendly, Veritus will help anyone who is willing to help themselves. His deep green gaze is harsh and penetrating, and his dark brown hair looks like tree bark.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Veritus wishes to see the world outside his small corner of forest, to meet new people and hunt new prey.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A Good Bow and some Arrows. Also, if the occasion calls for manual labor, he would rather pick up a wood axe than a shovel.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Veritus is a skilled marksman with a Bow. Just as his Mother was before him, and her mother before that.

Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Veritus walks calmly by the trio, his gaze straight ahead and his hands on his pack's straps. He is unwilling to help, or even consider helping anyone who will not help themselves. That said, if the Halfling tries to defend himself Veritus will most likely assist. If the Halfling fights back, Veritus would whip around and draw his bow. Intimidation from range is just as effective as taking an actual shot in most cases.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Veritus frowns a little and leans on the counter, his long hair shifting around his shoulders and green eyes trained on the man. "Hello. I was actually wondering what I could do for you. You see, Im new in town and looking for work in exchange for a place to sleep. I am a Hunter by trade. Perhaps you could use some raw materials for your goods? Or free Advertising as I can do that as well." His tone is crisp and curt, all about the business. No matter the reply, he would always be kind to a prospective client.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Veritus looks around the hut, his green eyes searching for any sign of deception or a trap. Upon finding none, he would take the seemingly forgotten materials for himself, sliding them into his pack. Even if they would be of little use to him, he could sell them in the next settlement for more gear. Upon taking the prizes, the elf would leave briskly in search of prey to hunt. He was, after all, a hunter first and a looter last. No use letting good materials go to waste though.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Veritus bows a little respectfully to the traders, looking weary and beaten. Speaking softly and politely, he would address the gathered traders. "Thank you for your welcome... I appear to have lost my bow, and as I am a hunter by trade, I am hungry because of it. Would any of you happen to have a bow, else some food, that I could have? I am willing to work for it and aid you in any way that I can. However, I cant promise I will stay long. As I have to resume my hunt."

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Veritus raises his hand, signaling the leader of the guard. "I will assist you. I will scout ahead of your party, then return to you with the layout of the encampment. That way, you might better strike without alerting the enemy. All I ask is enough arrows to fill my Quiver and that I be allowed to take what I find in the ensuing battle. Also, if you wish, I can strike at the leader of the encampment before the fighting starts." The Elf stands there, calm as can be. This was just a different kind of hunt for him.

Anything else you would like to say?: Bananas are an excellent source of Potassium?
