It is our duty to patrol the Crownlands and ensure safety , justice and law. We are the only force with the authorisation to arrest criminals and place them into the jails as the Watchmen are the only people with the keys to the jail. This must be made clear to all the Knights , that they do not have the authorisation to carry out arrests , only the men of the watch do. The watchmen only serve the current the Emperor and are loyal to the Emperor and the Imperial Family. They carry out and enforce his laws under his jurisdiction of the Crownlands. - Ranks of the Watch - Captain of the WatchSerjeant of the Watch - 500 Horens/ Per Elven Week & Serjeants Quarters & Free Weapons/ArmourWatchman - 250 Horens/ Per Elven Week & Shelter & Weaponry/Free Armour if necessary.Watchman Recruit - No pay. Shelter & Free Training & Free Weaponry. - Oath of the Watch - I, [ Name Here ] pledge my life to the Watch. I shall serve the Watch , the Emperor and the Imperial Family until my end. I shall lawfully carry out the Emperors laws to the best of my ability. I, [ Name here ] renounce all claims I have with my family and will show absolutely no bias to members of my family. Knights can't make arrests?! I wouldn't trust a Watchman with that sort of power any day. They should be maning the gates instead of doing a Knight's job. That's what this city needs." Because this kind of takes away the point of having the Knight's of the Lion, since we mostly operate at Arethor, because No one goes anywhere else..)) Whilst sticking up a final poster , Flynn turns his head at the angry man. " If you read on and quell your anger , you shall see that were are not official. I'm currently training the men so they understand how everything works. We cannot go out and make arrests when we wish , we must be under orders to do so. Watchmen do not have authority above Knights , I believe. We , however , are the only force that can make arrests when under orders to do so , as I said in the RP post , warrants shall most likely do this. Should there be a small commotion going on and a Watchman is trying to handle it , should a Knight come along , they would still have full authority in the situation. Knights aren't having their authority stripped from them.. I also wish to re-itterate to you all , that the Watchmen are still being trained , we are not currently going to be carrying out arrests until the High Chancellor deems the men trained well enough. Raises and eyebrow , whilst nodding. " I have not told any of your knights their authority is null , for truthfully , I have not spoken with them. The Emperor will clear up this buisness of arresting noble's , I am sure. The Knights still have , essentially , all the power they used too. And I say once more , we currently are not performing arrests until the High Chancellor deems the Watch well-trained enough to do so , we are not going to have the same blunder with the Oren Guard.
