Five Things You Should Do Before Applying.

Recommended Posts

Hello, Applicants of #LoTC! Most likely you're here to apply, and start role-playing. Well, you need to make an application using the official format. Though, that is not the first thing you need to do. In this Guide, I'll be telling you what you should consider doing / looking at, and why it is important to do so.

READING THE HOW-TO-APPLY PAGE

http://www.lordofthecraft.net/?page_id=6

This should be the first thing you read upon entering the website. It includes the FAQ, Application Form, a link to where you should post the application, and a link to where you need to register for the forums. This helps greatly, and should be read before asking any questions.

READING THE WIKI

Before posting your application, you need to know the server lore. The lore includes things such as reach race's lore, locations in the server, people in power, such as king or queens, and many other things that can help you with creating your character.

READING THE SERVER RULES

http://www.lordofthecraft.net/?page_id=8

The Rules are what keeps order and peace on the server. Without the rules, you'd see hackers, spammers, and general trash. You need to read the rules, and understand them, before you join #LoTC. They will keep you out of trouble.

READ THE ROLE-PLAYING GUIDES

http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/forum/49-roleplaying-guides/

These will help you learn to role-play better, and you will learn a few things. You'll learn such things like how to role-play a certain race, how to role-play fighting, and how to generally role-play. These guides help people greatly, and I suggest reading some before actually role-playing on the forums.

READ THE OTHER APPLICATION GUIDES

http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/forum/147-application-guides/

Players have taken the time to create wonderful guides to help you with creating your application. Please take the time to read through them, and make your application the best it can be. If you follow everything they say, you'll be bound to be accepted.

This should be pinned, because I find so many people who I'm positive haven't read these things.
