Ok, so no to the starter kit, but when is the new trading system gonna be available? For a recommendation, use one that is similar to the millenaire system where you have NPC's designed as shops (of course editing is required to exchange this into minas, but it sounds like it could be a good idea)

Thats been done on other servers, and in my experience it completely undercuts the market for those poor souls who rely on selling their wooden or stone tools/weps, because unlike other servers on loTC you have to work hard to earn the stats/skill to wield higher quality weapons. So there can be a high demand for wooden/stone weps. Also giving them mats to create food wouldn't work either unless they all chose the cooking skill. But in theory it's a good concept. Ok I have my own question, will having our own launcher put a stop to people using easily downloadable hack packs? Because if so HALEJUAH!

It won't be able to put a stop to people hacking. But it will mean that in order to hack you will have to be a coder, and we don't have many of those on our server :P

That is assuming that the client will be a new client, and not just a modified MC client.

I don't think it has anything to do with the launcher considering there are handguns in there... I mean unless we went from middle ages to 19th century+ in a matter of a few ig weeks. Lol

I suppose the dwarves could make something like that :P. All I was really saying was it probably isn't the actual items that are going to be introduced or atleast they won't look as cartoony... then again u never know. Either way I trust Vaq because he is probably the biggest boss I've ever seen when it comes to coding and decisions for the community.
