~TheDerpyBeagle~ 63 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Hey, so I got on and was in the cloud temple and I couldn't see any signs saying "Dwarven Kingdom of Karik" or anything, so I chose the red path, because all others led to different races. I luckily got it right so I finally saw some signs. I went to the capital, as it said, Mount Ire. So I traveled there and it said it was claimed by the "Clergy". (I found out what was going on with that part from reading some forum topics.) So I traveled back to the signs and went to Kal'Dwain. What is the best Dwarven city for a cave dwarf, because I can't see any signs anywhere hinting to a different Dwarf city. Any directions or help would be appreciated. Ok, you're a cave dwarf, so I wouldn't go to Kal'Anart, that is mountain dwarf territory. You can choose Dwain or Alras. Its up to your choice. Back at the cloud temple you can take a boat to Kal'Alras, but I don't think you would be able to afford a house there.
Arbrek the Ancient 140 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Alras is exspensive, but it is the only real 'cave' city. Anart and Dwain are built into the sides of the mountains from wait I've seen, while the Goldhand's Hold is built inside a big ol' cavern.
Zezimus 1523 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Ironguts are Cave Dwarves so you'd probably feel most at home with them in Kal'Dwain, even though their current Hold is somewhat more Mountain Dwarf like in design. Kal'Anart is almost exclusively for Mountain Dwarves and Alras is a bit of a mixture between the both with a more human like house design. Each hold and clan has its own unique and interesting history that I'd advise reading into before coming to a final decision.
Nefarious Aus Shitpost 891 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Alras is perfectly targeted at cave dwarfs. That and humans, but a new player would not be able to afford a home there. You're best off getting a home in Kal'Dwain. They're reasonably priced and Hiebe would probably be nice enough to go even lower for a new arrival. Gorum© 623 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Alras actually has really cheap homes, the price range for homes hasn't passed 1000 yet. Your average home is about 750 Minas. But yeah, if you're a cave dwarf you'd best fit in at dwain.
