Alright, let's start brainstorming then.

Quest purpose:

1. To rescue Doc from the dragon

2. Doc Brandybuck has been missing for several months now and his disappearance is mysterious and unknown, (Some dwarf) has heard of treasure in the far Eastern Sea of Asulon past Arma Luna (Dragon Island). This dwarf just so happens to stumble upon Ambros the Wizard whilst drinking in a tavern. After initiating conversation the dwarf tells Ambros of this treasure and asks him if he wishes to assist. Agreeing Ambros tells him he would like to bring someone that might be useful…a burglar. (We can use more than one Halfling of course).

Ambros tells the dwarf to meet him in the Vale with the house marked with a symbol on it. From there they would head off into the wilds to find this treasure. (Note that they will possibly find Doc Brandybuck by coincidence. Since he was a Brandybuck (Assuming they like to adventure), Doc would have been looking for the treasure too, but got trapped on the island and so he was missing since.

Cast:

1. Halflings of the Vale and some strong dwarf companions

Reward:

1. Any treasure the dragon has and the safe return of Doc

(Note that they will possibly find Doc Brandybuck by coincidence. Since he was a Brandybuck (Assuming they like to adventure), Doc would have been looking for the treasure too, but got trapped on the island and so he was missing since.

Hrm, I could be the Dwarf. Kazraden's brother, Arbrek, worshipped the Dragons and had a great deal of books, lore, and information in them, including the existence and location of the Dragon Isle. All of this would have been told to Kazraden through letters or the books and notes Kazraden record upon Arbrek's disappearance.

Well, just like in the book/movie, the dwarves/wizard/hobbits had to visit the elves. Since Normandor is in the way of this dragon isle a stop could be taken at the city.
