Rumors make their way throughout the Empire of Oren. Whether they be the simple ones of the smallfolk, the men and woman who till the fields and mine the stone, or those of high blood, which drink wine and nibble cheese in their keeps while not thundering across the battlefield. Now, be you a commoner or gentry or noble, talk begins to drift about of a man residing in the taverns about Arethor. He is a dirty type, vulgar, repulsive, loud, and filthy. In short, the man is a sailor. He proudly tells all he meets that he once captained his own ship, his own crew, bowing to no man for any reason but a hefty exchange of coin. However, he is down on his luck this man, which calls himself “Cleftjaw” for the great scar on his face he took from an axe in his youth. Davos be his name for formal agreements, something he has run low on. This “Davos” character lost his ship in a great storm worth more than his skill. Davos lost his ship, lost his crew, and lost all the coin to his name. The man now seeks business. He is willing to sell his skills to any employer he finds worth his time. However, Cleftjaw blatantly states he will not work as a deckhand. Only a captain position on his own ship, preferably owned personally by himself, will do. And so, Cleftjaw can be found drinking down his foes in the local taverns, hoping he might sail the seas of Asulon once more…

((If I was not completely forward with this post, I’ll explain further. I feel that there are not nearly enough sailors on the server and I hope to fill the gap. I shall be working as a sailor, the first men hearing of my unemployment will be those who live in or frequent Arethor often, seeing as that is where I have recently travelled to. As said, Davos is proud, not willing to be a deckhand. All you know of him is what is above written. Further information can be learned by approaching the man in the tavern. Cheers, and here’s to the open sea!))
