Dwarven War Games

As you walk through the Dwarven Nation of Karik, you notice a note upon the board. You walk forward, and begin to glance over the notes.

Hello, Dwarves, fellows of Karik, and warriors! I am happy to introduce to you today, a plan that I have been planning for many months. For a long while, the Dwarven armies have been limited to training in war time! We do not often get the chance to train, but I am wishing to change that. I wish to bring a new age to the fighting styles of the Dwarves, and for us to become the fearsome race we truly are!

As you know, we do not currently have any areas in which we can train. I propose four different battles to take place - Plain combat, and Castle combat. They explain themselves fairly well; Plain combat shall be between two warriors fighting on flat ground, with the occasional hill and slight craters. Castle combat shall be a small fort constructed, in which the attacking squad must attack. For the Castle Combat, the attackers and defenders shall switch their positions.

As Valen is making his way through the Grandaxe district of Kal'Karik, he tilts his head towards a parchment, pinned up against the notice board. He nods as he reads over what the notice has to say and turns around, noticing Tognik standing nearby. He places his hand over the Dwarf's shoulder and speaks close to his ear.

"Ah foine oidea lad, ah can recall in t'e uld days under Grand King T'orik, weh would train amungs' t'e ruins uv Wrath's Clutch. Ye beh seemin' tae 'ave a similar oidea 'ere, ah 'ope tae see it work well wit' t'e new military plans. Weh 'ave plenteh uv resources tae put intae trainin' sessions, ah suggest ye speak wit' meh brudder, Bazian n' 'e will 'opefulleh supply ye wit' wut ye need."

Tognik nods at the words of Valen, scanning the sentences, as he remains silent for a few moments. He then smiles slightly, as he replies to the words of Valen.

"Dat is t'e beau'y; Weh nae need many ma'erials, as S'one is common, an' wud is tu. I' is a goo' compromise, as i' doesn' need much Minas ta supply."

Grimrick looks over the notes with interest.

"Looks gud ta meh. Toime ta crack sum bluddeh skulls!"

He then realises that the games are against other dwarves, causing his happiness to diminish slightly from his lack of motivation to harm another of his own kind, but still not completely due to his love for battle.

Tognik sighs slightly, glancing at the man, not meaning to come off angrily.

"Lad, we need to ge' some formation in our armies. We have constantly been devas'ated by ot'er armies, for we simply charge in and hope for t'e bes'. I' doesn't work, I tell ye, and we must change i'. I am tryin' my bes' ta change such a fac', bu' believe meh, i' is 'ard.
