The First Chaplain

Patrick Horen, High Inquisitor, Duke of Pruvia, and Prince, walks from the courtroom, after being blessed with the burden of First Chaplain of the Inquisition

He walked far, not taking a horse, and traveling for day until he reached Mireton

Once there, he ignored those greeting him, his feet tired, and eyelids heavy, but he marched on to the vaults int the mountain with the steel door

He opened the door, a draft and ghostly breeze of stale air hitting him as he walked upon the dusty and old stone to the inner vaults

He passed a series of doors, each thicker and more intricate than the last until he reached the Deep.

The Deep was the deepest and oldest part of the Vault, containing the Inquisition's relics and sacred possessions such as the First Grand Inquisitor's Blade and Armor, among many pieces of their history such as Tabards and Flags, but Patrick walked past these all, going to the end, in fron the armor his father wore, the First Grand Inquisitor's Armor, with the Blade mounted above it

He nodded his head and turned to the right, where a set of jet black armor was on a stand, with a skull mask and a crozius mounted above it

He looked at the armor of the First Chaplain, and the Crozius mounted by it. Engraved on the inside with holy scripture and prayers of all forms

The Crozius a black steel color, with tiny lettering of prayer and commitmen to duty upon it

He took the armor down, clipping it upon himself, and taking up the crozius, testing it's weight and swing, nodding to himself as it felt natural to him

He clipped it to his side, and took the helm, donning the Skull Helm of the First Chaplain

He liked the feel of it all, it seeming to fit on him and turned, striding out of the Vault and to the outside, climbing up farther and opening the door, the sunlight hurting his eyes briefly, he shaded them, and set off

The First Chaplain had to find new Inquisitors for the Order
