Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): Si’Lorei

Character Skillset:

She is quick on her feet and though she lacks the strength that other Kharajyrs have, she has enough wit to try and avoid situations that take advantage of that flaw.

Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender):

She is sixteen, just old enough to remember the excitement she felt when she completed her adulthood trial. As a young Kha’ Cheetrah she has light brown fur and small spots that cover her entire body. Her fur is a lighter shade on her torso and the inside of her legs and arms than they are on other parts of her body.

Personality:

She is curious, alert but a bit oblivious when it comes to cultural taboos that go outside her own. She usually says what is on her mind without filtering anything that might be offensive for the receiver. This is, more often than not, done out of ignorance rather than spite. She is known to ask questions until she understands completely. She is rather friendly but has a personal wariness towards other races. She doesn’t understand them therefore she is hesitant to make mistakes or speak as she usually would in front of them because it would shame her fellow Kharajyrs.

Royalty, be it Kharajyr or otherwise, are always to be treated with respect and, to Lorei, respect comes in many forms. It may be presenting a gift of some kind to the noble. It may also be avoiding contact with the person in any way possible, she hates being in situations where she doesn’t know whether she has offended someone or not, especially if it is someone of importance.

Please include a short bio of your character's life:

As a kitten, Lorei has been independent and filled with potential and wild dreams. She would talk her parents to death about her ambitions and wild imaginative stories. She would lie out in the grass on warm days, staring at the clouds above her and creating tales of adventure, romance, tragedy and history, entertaining not only herself but the other Kharajyr she would corner and speak to.

Now, she wants to take hold of her previous stories and use them to entertain the public, she wants to become a writer. More than that, she wants to explore the lands of Asulon to fuel her imagination and teach herself the ways of others. Despite wanting to be knowledgeable about all cultures and people, she lacks the tact to restrain her tongue from what might be offensive to others. She never truly means any harm; it’s just that she doesn’t see the wrong in saying what is on her mind at that moment.

Character's ambitions:

She wants to improve her social skills with other races so that she can properly record her interactions and adventures. She would also love to travel, she wants to be able to remember and witness many events happening all over Asulon. She also envies the life of a merchant, who has a stable life and job, who is known by the people in the area the merchant chose…she has thought about becoming something similar to a traveling merchant with her books and possibly other wares she picks up on her travels.

_---Situational Rp Questions---_

1.As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?:

I watch the ape at a distance, my eyes narrowing with a unique mixture of contempt and curiosity at the obvious distress and inevitable doom that is shrouding the figure. I approach confidently, though my tail twitches with apprehension as I grow closer and the human finally sees me. His face seems to brighten, I notice this even at my distance, and his body relaxes. He seems to believe I am his savior. What a strange reaction for a trespasser…

“Ape!” I call out, waving and giving my best grin. “Is there a particular reason why you are trespassing on our lands?”

The human’s smile falls a bit and he admits, “I’m lost. I’ve run out of water and food…do you have anything you can give me?” His voice is hoarse and his body is weak.

This situation, though, is too perfect to be true. The ape claims to be lost but if he were traveling wouldn’t he have carried a map. Then, if he has no map, does that mean he was exiled and dropped her by his people? Humans do exile don’t they?

As I look at this man again I deduce that it wouldn’t be best to reveal his lie now. Better to scare him into returning to his land than to provoke the ape and endanger my fellow Kharajyrs. I throw the human a small fish I caught earlier and had planned to drop before and a holder of water. I roughly turn the human around and point a clawed finger in the opposite directly, probably the way he came.

“I can’t let you continue on, trespasser. You are a danger to these lands. Return.”

The human sputters and tries to spout more lies but I nudge him in the right direction.

“I will tell the guards that I have seen you in this area, if they see you again it is not my fault what happens afterwards. Return home, human.”

The human sighs, trembling visibly before running in the direction I pointed in. I felt a bit bad at the human’s situation but the safety of my people came first. Who knew if the ape was actually a well-versed spy or a thief that could act well. No. The risk was too great to let him pass.

2.As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak."Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!"He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?:

I feel my fur raise at the taunts of the dwarven man. My irritation and need to protect my people’s honor urge me to throw my own insults his way because with dwarves there are so many. They are short, usually portly people. Short, less useful versions of the other apes. However, I throw all this ill intent away, shoving all the insults in the back of my mind.

I smile but there’s anger in my eyes as a approach the dwarf who has begun to howl with laughter at his own jokes. I tilt my head to the side, warring with myself again at how easy it would be to defeat this ignorant stump with words before I lift my foot and kick the dwarf off of his stool.

The dwarf grunts angrily and is about to stand when I slam my foot down on his chest. I lean down slowly, smiling only to show my teeth as a reach and run my claws gently along his neck. The dwarf stills, finally seeing the danger in the situation.

“Aw, did the kitty scare the short man?” I put more strength into squashing the man beneath my foot. He wheezes pathetically, looking to others to help.

They don’t.

“You are lucky this “cat” doesn’t want to her hands dirty. Watch what you say, dwarf.”

With this I stand and sit at the seat that had previously been the dwarf’s. As I hear him stand, I glare at him, daring him to make a move before watching, with satisfaction, as the dwarf moves to the other side of the tavern to drown his embarassment in ale.

Content, I begin to look at the small menu posted. She needed a drink.

3.One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response?

This act.

This act so dreadful done to one of our own. At first I refused to believe it myself but his hands were covered in blood, his eyes still held the crazed gleam that came from taking the life from something once living. This man was no longer my friend because I knew he wouldn’t do something so wrong in the eyes of our people. Not over something so meaningless.

I stare him in the eyes, feigning understanding before striking him with a heavy paperweight that was beside me. He falls, still conscious but then I hit him again with the object, and once more until he doesn’t move. I pause, wondering if I had hurt him too much but as I check his pulse and breathing I know he is alive.

Alive and a criminal.

He wouldn’t have come quietly. I didn’t have the strength to restrain him myself. I had to do this while I still had surprise on my side. Swallowing and hoping others would understand. I leave the house and lock it from the outside.

I would bring the authorities here to arrest this murderer. Hopefully, he wouldn’t wake until then.

Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred?

“ I swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law and I swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred. “

Very sorry.

I was really excited and in my excitement made several mistakes while making this application. While I might return and make an application to become a Kharajyr, I think I should actually start as one of the other races before diving into something that appears to be different.

Thank you for the quick response though, I'll make a proper application soon.
