Giovanni walks into the Golden Harvest head quarters after a long journey home from the blessed lands of Elandriel. He lies his staff down in his chair and begins to unwind for the first time in months. The old man slowly sits himself down on his rocker that is placed at the balcony to overlook his field workers. He puts his feet up on the fence, and finally is at peace.

But suddenly, one of the newer workers begins to converse with an experienced Harvest captain. "Oi Thomas, did ye' 'ere 'bout t' new navy Oren's start'd up? Oi'm quite ex'ted t' join, got t' git outa t'is 'ell 'ole t'at slave droiver makes us werk in!" After hearing the cruel words of his employees, Giovanni looks down at the new boy and tells him to shut his mouth or he'll have him a homeless beggar again. Giovanni slowly dozes off, under the hot Oren sun.

In his dreams, Giovanni imagines great journeys and fun times to be found as a member of the navy. Long days at sea, mingling with the crew members, telling and listening to tall tales, and of course, protecting the seas of Oren. When he finally awakens, he sees his employees gone and has no one to watch over. He hobbles his way over to Oren and makes his way into Boiendl's quarters. "OI! Boiendl me old friend, oI t'ink oI'm intrist'd in joinin' t' navy. Watcha t'ink ab't t'at? oI supp'se oI'll tell ye' wot oI'm good at, eh?"
