A new elder?

*A new note flaps along with the ebbing wind pegged on the vale notice board. It is written with grey ink in the spidery penmanship of Aris Snowbird

With the leaving of our beloved misteh Graeme Parker more weight has been set upon the solders of our remaining two elders. If the situation hasn't already been dealt with by our current leaders then I recommend we elect a new elder. This man or woman should be a strong and willing person who is active in our community. I cast my own vote for misteh Bili Hollowmead as he is one of the most helpful in our town. If you have a vote please leave a slip of paper in the box by the inn. -Aris Snowbird

((Maybe we could get this decided upon before the change over of maps. That way we have a good structure for when we move into the new town))

Bili reads the new note upon the noticeboard, and takes a moment to think about the possibility of him becoming an Elder. He scratches his chin, and releases a muffled,

"Hmmm...."

Hanfast, reading the note, quickly scribbles down his vote and throws it into the box.

If any were to somehow read it they would see the words BILI HOLLOWMEAD

Rupert, capable of walking freely once again after his Orc incident, passes by the notice board as he's about to head into the tavern. Just as he's opening the tavern doors, it hits him that there was something different about the notice board, something he only saw in the corner of his eye. He turns around, walking to the board and reads Aris' note. He takes a small piece of charcoal and a bit of parchment from his coat. Leaning on the board, he scribbles something on the parchment.

"BILI HOLLOWMEAD."

Rupert crumples up the parchment and tosses it into the box, smiling and once again heading to the tavern.

Dofur takes a rare opportunity to come out of his burrow. He waddles over to the message board and harrumphs.

"So, Grame is gone. Hmmm."

Dofur goes back into his burrow and fetches a sign. He slams it into the ground next to the message board. In bright red the sign screams DOFUR RIVERFOAM FOR ELDER.

On a windy morning in the Vale, Roxanne waddled over to the notice board, her dress floating around her and giving her a somewhat ghostly figure. She squinted at the new note on the message board and pulled a crumpled piece of paper from her pocket. Noticing the large sign next to it with Dofur's name she sighed and rolled her eyes, stifling a laugh. Smiling, Roxanne scrawled a name calmly and swiftly, as though she need not to think who she would write down, and dropped her vote gingerly into the box by the inn. As she shuffled off she giggled quietly to herself. "Elde' Bili 'ollowmead.."

Dofur waits until everyone is away from the message board. He didn't want anybody to see him. Dofur runs up to the board with a piece of paper in hand, and stuffs it down in the box. He looks around hurriedly before dashing back to his burrow. Another vote had been cast for Bili.

*Elder Tibb Fairfield hastily hammers a sign to the noticeboard, in response to the recent outcry the Elders have decided on a worthy successor to Graeme...*

'Le' it be known, tha' from this day forward, one Bili 'ollowmead is to be called Elder Bili 'Ollowmead!'

*Tibb tilts the sign so that it is straight, and quickly retreats to his burrow, planning for the rough times ahead*
