You can use skins you find, they don't have to be your own work but don't just steal skins unless the creator gives you permission and make sure they follow server lore and are appropriate.

Are there any rules on naming characters? I'm terrible at picking names, naming is always the hardest part for me. Aside from keeping names lore-friendly am I free to use what names I like? For humans is any traditional human name appropriate?

Really it is up to you. Of course the different races have different types of names but as long as you keep it appropriate and not trolly. Anything can go.

Mention a lot of lore and do not simply state, he is a warrior born in the city and loves to eat. Add detail of Orc foods s/he likes, Orc cities, and all in general lots of lore that may fit into your character. If you wish for a more detailed help look for people in the Orc lore section that look like they have lots of rep and may know lots about Orcs. Sorry for grammars issues in a hurry hope this helps a little though. :)

Some things you might want to mention is the orcish blessing and curse. They are blessed with an innate sense of honor, and are cursed with bloodlust. Don't do villainous actions in your application, however, as you must have a VA to do these. Killing animals is fine, though. Also, the mention of shamans could help, or the moving from San'orka to the Trog to Gronkkston, as these are the places the orcs have lived since landing in Anthos.

 

An orc/elf half-breed would likely be alienated by orcs, unless he/she proved extreme dedication and absolute adherence to the orcish culture. At least, that's what I've generally witnessed.

You should get a reply sooner than that. You may PM the person who reviewed the application telling them you've made the necessary changes to it and it is ready to be reviewed again.
