Ja'Natayshi

Character Skillset:

Ja'Natayshi is a highly devoted Kharajyr priestess of her moon Goddess Metztli. Her purpose is to guide her younger brethren in Metztli's ways and to interpret her divine will. She is sharp of tounge and high in wit, but her life has never before led down the path of combat, for she sees that the true way of the Kha' lies within devotion and worshipp for what they believe is right, and thus she has almost no experience in combat, rendering her useless in battle.

Ja'Natayshi can be considered wise. She believes that simply harnessing the power of words is enough to defeat her enemies without leaving a scratch, and that no permanent harm may come to her as long as Metztli watches over her. She also has a unique talent of seeing without eyes, meaning that due to her blindness (Explained below), she has been forced to find other ways to travel and see via her use of smell and sound.

Such major disabilities are bound to end badly in some way or another, as nothing may ever truly be able to replace the eye. Yet of course, this does mean the senses she has trained in are now far more efficient than they once were, and are most likely better at performing their duties than other Kha'.

Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender):

Ja'Natayshi is a 182 year old female Kha'Cheetrah, with the orthadox qualities of a sleek and slender body with pale, creamy fur coated in tiny brown little spots, slightly dull in colour due to her age. A noticeable feature of this Cheetrah would be her unusually large, wirey tail that stretches high up behind her at every possible occasion. And to match her long tail, comes long claws.

Although not muscular, Ja'Natayshi's claws stretch up to 2 inches long when fully extended, not that she ever has a reason to do so, bar the odd time where her natural jungle homeland presents an obstacle in the form of a tree to be climbed. It is also not an odd sight to see this Kha' wandering slowly about, as if in a tired state. As a Kha', being elderly by no means makes you a weak pile of flesh unable to feed yourself, but it still takes its toll on the body.

The most noticeable quality of Ja'Natayshi is her dull, plain looking eyes. She had unfortunately turned blind at the age of 120, simply by chance, of which she interpreted as a sign from the Goddess so that she may look past people's appearances to seek what truly lies beneath.

Personality:

Ja'Natayshi does not make enemies. And those who make an enemy of her will recieve no hatred in return, only pity. This Cheetrah has a way with her words, which are usually spoken in the sacred tounge of Metztli, that mean she often presents herself in a very calm, insightful manner. She makes hard attempts to dull away any sense of unease about those whom surround her, and she does this through her interesting use of wording and philosophy.

Please include a short bio of your character's life:

Ja'Natayshi was born in the ancient homelands of the Kha', mother to the prince: Te'Xerdun, whom later became Tla'Xerdun when succeeding to the throne. During those dark times, before the volcano had struck it's mark across the face of the Kha', Ja'Natayshi, wife to the emperor at the time (Xerdun's father) had abandoned the empire due to her husband's laws against the Goddess. She had fled into the world, completely by herself.

When Ja'Natayshi returned in the hopes of finding that her husband had either died, or had had a change of heart, all she found was an empty wasteland. The volcano had erupted, destroying all the land as far as the eye could see. Kha' bodies littered the ash-covered streets, and the foul stench of death lingered strongly in the air above her head.

There was nothing left for her here... So she fled once more. She had made herself a home in the far outlands, never seeing another single living soul for many years. That was of course, untill she began to travel. Ja'Natayshi had started moving again, she walked for weeks on end untill she stumbled across the most interesting of places...

Ja'Natayshi had found a realm riddled with secrets, odd looking people and races, a vast array of oppertunities and of course, her beloved Kharajyr survivors. This place was known as: Asulon. Not long after that, Ja'Natayshi had settled once more with her own kind, and there was much work to be done.

Character's ambitions:

Ja'Natayshi merely wishes to advance her relationship with her people, her Goddess, and all whom she may encounter across the remainder of her weary days. She wishes to teach those willing to listen of the sacred ways of the Goddess, and to restore the Kharajyr empire to the glory it once held alongside the lady of the moon: Metztli.

_---Situational Rp Questions---_

1.

As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?:

Ja'Natayshi's ears flick over towards the sound of snapping twigs, and the rustling of bushes. She gradually paces her way over, pressing the end of her stick hard into the ground. Her whiskers twitch madly up and down as the fresh scent of the human fills her ancient nostrils. Upon hearing his requests, she replies simply:

"Ev'e fana du va'at oui, drah oui sic'd hud pa yp'ma du va'at ouincamv.... I'a may newt feed yu', for'a yu' mus' learn tu feed' yu'self. Drec ec dra f'yo uv so bau'bma, yht uv dra zihk'ma, yht drec ec ruf'ed sic'd pa..... This'a ees te' way awv my people, an' awv tha jungawl. This'a ees 'ow eet mus' be."

Ja'Natayshi chuckles lightly at his confused, yet dissapointed expression. Not being cold of heart, she supplies him with a brief nod of her head in the direction of which he must travel to escape, to which he responds with a rapid "T-thank you!" before vanishing where she indicated.

2.

As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak.

"Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!"

He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?:

Ja'Natayshi blinks in response, completely unresponsive to the pathetic cries of a drunken dwarf. She fails to even supply to misrable creature with a glance as she swiftly twirls herself round to calmly stride out back the way she had come with a blank expression plastered across her face.

She mutters "Fundrm'acc cuim ha'atc hud so yddah'deuh." silently to herself as she turns to continue down the cobbled path.

3.

One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response?

Ja'Natayshi continues to crush up the herbs against the counter, apparently wide awake as the panicing Kha' barges into her humble dwelling. Ja'Natayshi hums softly to herself with her back to the Kha' as he blurts out the most horrid of crimes to her in a rapid, breathless tone.

Ja'Natayshi's humming continues as he finishes, leaving the Kha' standing there in both confusion and fear to the possible harsh response of one of her dearest friends.

"Metztli' ca'ac ymm, so vneaht. Ed ec ib du oui du sy'ga drec l'ruela uh frana ouin by'dr kuac huf. Vun ev oui gaab drec cemahd, dyga huda dryd Sadw'dme femm nasaspan demm dra tyo oui zu'eh ran, yht cra femm lui'hd ay'lr tyo uv ouin meva uv meac...... Metztli sees all, my friend. It is up to you to make this choice on where your path goes now. For if you keep this silent, take note that Metztli will remember till the day you join her, and she will count each day of your life of lies." she replies in a very calm tone, her work on the herbs failing to falter.

She smiles weakly to herself as the Kha' backs out of her home with his head held down low after a long, awkward pause of nothing but empty thoughts.

Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred?

Of course.
