Issinardo Klaren

Founded by the first son of the Klaren couple, Gratos Klaren, in the ancient times of Aegis, Issinardo Klaren was to be a pure lineage sustainable throughout the ages. It started with a chamber carved into a mountain side, wooden structure protruding. The family started young, Gratos married a strong Shadeleaf named Velulii. They followed the faith of Velulaei for a couple generations until a pragmatism grew towards such religion. Gratos took his growing family with the Vel'Nighthearts as they wanted to continue the practicing of the religion. They built their manor into a mountain side under the which, the Vel'Nighthearts also built their first shrine. As generations passed, the Vel'Nighthearts left the mountain to create their shrines further secluded. At the same time, Gratos passed down his inheritance to Glaroth Klaren the first, his eldest son. He then left his family to join the new Order of the Velul.

Glaroth Klaren the first made many reforms to the lands of the Klarens. The manor was turned into a fortification. Old Klaren'Nolurd was thus built. A large hold, capable of withstanding most if not all sieges, or so he claimed. Regardless, his end was the least fortunate. When the Klarens heard of the inquisition attacks on the Vel'Nighthearts, he rushed the family military into battle. He was slain along side Vel'tis while defending the last shrine. The end of the war brought Glaroth Klaren the second to lead the family.

Glaroth Klaren the second secluded his family to protect it from further conflict, the interchanges between the family and the exterior were rare and brief. Enough though, to hear rumors of a relentless undead force rising. Thus he designed caravels, three of them, to leave Aegis in search of a new world. As it fell, the family left Aegis and followed the elven ships out to Asulon.

Disaster then struck. As all great things must fall one day, the Klarens fell. On the trajectory to Asulon, they sailed through a thick mist. This one separated them, causing the lead ship to lose heading and disappear, and a second ship to crash against the rocks. The only Klarens left were Goroth Klaren and his youngest relatives. Son of Glaroth the second, he became the new family leader. He achieved greater than his antecedents, created a new Klaren'Nolurd, built a town by his own hands and gained a new reputation for his race. And this is where the story starts, the story of Issinardo Klaren.

~ Nardo Klaren ~

One bearing this name is the one in charge of the family. He represents the family name and all it is worth. He is also the eldest of the pure lineage, be it male or female. However, the males are usually privileged as they withhold the pure lineage in their blood. Nardo Klaren is also required to have passed through all the Eylosil'Issinardo training as they take on head of the Issinardo Council.

~ Klaren Eylosil'Issinardo ~

One bearing this rank is one of the Issinardo Council. The closest relatives of the Nardo Klaren are usually such rank. These pass through intensive training in many arts besides the one of the simple blade. However they are further required to have learnt much about at least a single subject. Many choose something in the domain of biology.

~ Klaren'iler ~

One bearing this rank is at par with the Eylosil'Issinardo. They are those which defy the art of the sword and concentrate on the magical arts. Little have taken this path in the Klarens.

~ Klaren Eylosil ~

One bearing this rank can take prestige in such because they have the honor of constituting the high levels of Issinardo Klaren. Mostly Klaren lineage members and impure Klarens are able to access this rank with ease. Others would have to gain trust before even getting to the training for this.

~ Klaren Silii ~

As the rank suggests, small sword, this rank is the first of the armed hierarchy. It is a stage which all take and in which they learn the traditional arts of sword-fighting as dark elves must. Any of the elven kin can take on this, however, training is difficult for those not predisposed to sword-fighting.

~ Sirame Klaren ~

These are those that take the name of the Klarens as an honorary title. Coming from an exterior family, they join under oath or love. The love not only for a maiden but maybe for knowledge or family.

~ Klaren'Nolurd ~

The Klarens have many possessions of their own making. One of those being Klaren'Nolurd, positioned far west from Oren, in the wild cliffs of the wilderness. There it is the center of a town run by Issinardo Klaren named Malin's Gorge. More information is available there.

~ The Risen Falcon ~

They also have made a new ship, designed for extreme distances and for many people. The whole town and family could board such ship. It is named, the Risen Falcon. It has three masts and a thin long deck. Many cabins and storage cabinets are present aboard for multi-use.

~ Black Steel Armor ~

Klaren armor was created by Tragos Klaren in the latter generations of Issinardo Klaren. It consisted in a black steel alloy used to create either chain-mail or plate-mail. It is distributed with different helmets depending on the status. The Nardo helmet is as old as it was forged. It has been worn out many times, however only needing little repairs.

This is how one can recognize a Klaren with ease.

The essence of the Klaren defense force is upon cavalry. They use Ivish Hunters which are good in mountainous regions and for archery. This is because some Silii are trained for mounted archery, although the only ones who usually passed such training were Shadeleaf built dark elves or plain wood elves.

The stance of Issinardo Klaren tends to be isolationist to avoid harm to their family. However, when faced with an on the spot event, they would surely intervene. All military decisions are decided on by the Issinardo Council beforehand.

~ Joining Issinardo Klaren ~

To join the Klarens you need to either PM me a small application included below, if you are going to join as a living member. If not, you need to RPly contact Goroth Klaren, Relios Klaren or Kradis Klaren (or Isha Klaren if you feel brave) and request joining the training. There is no application for such. To join the training, one will have to show great determination and love for the Klaren family.

Ah...I was expecting a culture section here like the rest of the dark elf families. I suggest you should add an architecture and culture section.
