Revenge In The Sands

Bakrag and Durak rushed back to Pok in the Ugluk Fort. Pok was meditating quietly with the War Axe of Ugluk resting gently on his lap. The WarChief looked up when the two came in, they were drenched in sweat and blood when they came in.

“WarChief! Gazat ur Khaz am makun zumtyn’ ova de ‘ill near de zea.” Bakrag mumbled, bending over and holding his knees and out of breath. Durak nodded in agreement, looking to Pok with big eyes.

“Yub WarChief, me wuz wif  Bakrag wen id ‘appened. Dere wuz skahurz buyldin’ zumtin’ lyke big towa’. Wif weelz!”

Pok looked at his young Orcs, disturbed by their sense of urgency. He quickly tied a large scrollbox to his bull, Gijakdull, and ordered him to deliver a message to the Rex, Vrogak’Gorkil, to send troops to the Ugluk Fort to aid in the destruction of the tower.

Sometime later, a large battalion of Orcs marched across the sands chanting and roaring in unison. Leading them was the Rex himself, Vrogak’Gorkil. The Rex roared as the battalion entered the camp, demanding to know why he was called here.

Pok rose from his seat of meditation, rising to face the Rex. The old WarChief headbutts the young Rex and thumps him on the back, welcoming him to his fort. He orders his slaves to feed the rest of the Orcs and repair their arms and armor. The Orcs feasted for a day while the Rex and the WarChief discussed plans and how to go about destroying the tower and be quiet about it.

The next morning, the battalion marched out from the Ugluk Fort, freshly fed and armed. They slowly moved up the mountain and by midday the Orcs were looking down on the coast in front of the home of the Kharajyr.

The Orcs traversed the mountain slowly, reaching the coast as the sun set. When the Orcs reached the ground, they turned to the west to see a large entrance to a cavern. Bakrag and Durak frantically motioned for the Orcs to follow them down into the cavern and there it was, the strange tower they had seen.

The Rex ordered the battalion to circle the strange machine and prepare their torches and oils. Pok motioned for the Rex to follow him and together they examined the machine, a goblin following and taking notes of the design so that they may try to rebuild it. They walked to the top of the machine, which towered near the top of the cavern. From the top, the Rex addressed the Orcs.
“Urukz! ‘ere wi hab foundz ah mazhine ob wah! De Gazat am prepurin’ zumtyng agh ‘ere wi am tu deztrueh id! Wi burn diz down.”

At that, the Rex, the WarChief, and the goblin engineer moved down to the exit the tower as Nobs commanded Orcs to begin to burn the tower. The Rex stood watch the the Orcs savagely tore apart and destroyed the tower. Pok nodded and congratulated Bakrag and Durak on their achievement in discovering this strange machine.

On the way back, the Orcs made a detour to the platforms where the Dwarves still had trebuchets from their last conflict. Using what was left of their weapons of destruction, the Orcs burnt down one of them.

Finally, three days after their departure from the Ugluk Fort, the Orc battalion entered the main Orcish encampment. There, the Orcs feasted and celebrated their victory.
