Description:

The Taormina is an underground business guild.
Ranks:


All promotions must be approved by the Basio.

Basio: This is the leader of the organization. There is one
and only of this title. This person gives the orders to the Gigante to give to
the lower Boars.

Tore: This is the personal advisor of the Basio. This man
is not considered part of the boars but is one of the most respected by the
rest of the members.

Gigante: The Gigante is the underboss to the Basio. He
relays the orders from the Basio to the Vittorios.

 

Vittorio: These are the leaders of the divisions of the
guild. These men relay the orders from the upper branch down to the lower
members. The Vittorios see a little less action than the Cipallo.

 

Cipallo: These are the lowest members of the guild. They are
the guys that do most of the villiainous acts.

Novellino: These men are not considered a part of the order
yet they are newly recruited men trying to be made into Cipallo. To get to
Cipallo they must prove their loyalty and go through an initiation.

Ivan Emberstone was born in Asulon to a human family. His father was part human and
part dwarf. His mother was a human. His family was threatned by bandits when he
was around the age of 10. So his parents sent him off with his uncle Eifid. His
uncle lived in the wilds of Asulon past the orc deserts. Eifid was apart of the
Talons and lived in their walled fort. He helped his uncle with day to day life
and his uncle taught him some important life lessons. With his uncle he learned
architecture, smithing, and brewing.
At the age of 17, orcs began to threaten the fort and his uncle sent him off to
Salvus. Ivan lived there for a few months before everyone left for Elysium.


In Elysium he found himself living in a small hut
on the outskirts of New Oren. Soon after they sailed to Elysium, his Uncle
Eifid was killed by orcs. With the death of his uncle he inherited his Uncle’s
desert mansion. His uncle saw him as a son he never had. Ivan then sought out
one of his Uncle’s old comrades from Fort Mirach in Asulon. He than find out
about the fight between the dwarves and the orcs, that killed his uncle. He
sought to join the fight and became active in the Legion. He was known as the
half breed amongst the dwarves, but he was not discouraged. He fought with the
soul of his uncle. He was happy to be amongst such great warriors. The last
march on the orcs in Elysium soon began. He was one of their fighters. He had
finally seen the defeat of the orc camp.


Soon after that, the orcs began to fortify the
desert and build a bigger camp. Some orcs found his uncle’s desert manor and he
had to collapse the entrance and abandon the manor. He talked to his friend
Throdo about buying land. Throdo gave him a plot on the mountain closest to the
desert. He recruited two soldiers and began a small little hunting group. The
saftey was short lived as the orcs found his home in the mountains, he had to
leave and seek a better shelter from the desert. He talked to Throdo about land
again and was given a plot next to the monk camp. Ivan decided to build a manor
on this land. He built a grand manor with a lecture hall, bedrooms, a stage,
offices, and military barracks. While residing in Oren he experienced the
corruption and hate amongst the people of Oren. He saw the true sides of people
and become enraged in the presence of the corrupt White Roses. He began to
commit villanius acts and became rather selfish. Soon after the completion of
his manor, adventurers discovered the land of Kalos.


He went with the other nations to Kalos and settled in the Oren land. He was building a
fort next to the White Rose camp when he was evicted by Oren knights. Ivan
sought out the Duchess and purchased land behind the Valois and Stafyr house.
He built a compound that contained: a pub, an inn, a trading post, docks,
barracks, and his manor. He began to gather more recruits and associates. His
small hunting gang started to evolve into a military. Before the discovery of
the land of Anthos. He began to change in appearence. His transforming body
worried him and he seeked out his mother and father on their island in Kalos.
He then discovered that his mom true ancestry was hidden from him and that she
was Adunian. His mothers maiden name was Bronte. That is when he decided to
change his name from Ivan Emberstone to Ivan Bronte. With the change of name he
decided to change the name of the small military operation from House
Emberstone to the Bronte Family. He reorganized the guild structure and soon
began a more successful attempt at creating a powerful guild. Ivan was very
open to people of him being a mutt. He was not ashamed of being of three races.
He actually liked it, he thought that with this he could destroy the division
of race within the guild and untite his order as one. This became true as there
were no more discrimination against each other. The Bronte order was now more
stable and ready to rise as a leading guild.

Born into Aegis, Rihu departed his family at a young age after becoming tired of labor and mining, making a living through jobs usually frowned upon by others. In his early years during the docking of Elysium he began giving him self numerous titles such as burglar, thief and henchman and strayed from any honest labor or authority. Becoming involved in several groups and organisations he was beginning to get payed for inside information about plots and plans. As he became involved in group attacks and low profile assassinations Rihu gave no mercy on those he was asked to eliminate and learnt that what he does is strictly business. He understood that the sharing any profit was key to keeping an alliance with others who specialize in his work. He had met many people like himself and thought of one day forging a silent movement of assassins and thieves unseen by the public and authority , only answering to those who can pay or assist.

Tell us about yourself. (Short Biography): Well I was born in late Aegis and started to go my separate ways from my parents, they were killed two years after I left I felt terrible that if I had just told them not to go in that mine they could have been alive. So I wandered the hills mostly drunk but I was soon kidnappped one day by people I have not seen or heard since. They finally released me after a year and I went to live in Malinor mostly up to now I have been living with the elves.
 
What are your ambitions?: My ambition is to become a poison master I have created a few poisons and useful escape items on my own my design.
 
Why are you joining?: I am joining to aid the Bronte family with poison it seems like through my past I might be more "Welcome" here.

What do you strive for (What are your goals)? My goal is to be the best poison master in all of Kalos. I want to have people come to me to ask for my advice on ingredients and various potions they have made.

Do you have obligations to others?: Nicodemus is the High Treasurer's personal attorney, as well as the Court's general defense attorney. He also promised to help the High Chancellor with the new Court. None of this has a restrictive time frame.

Is there anything else you'd like to inform us about?: Nicodemus wrote an essay about the necessity for free trade called 'Peace and Prosperity'. His connections to the High Treasurer and High Chancellor are certainly assets as well. (Accepted VA for 4a and 4b)
