*As you enter the Thornrose Keep, you see a yellow toned paper pinned to the mortar betwen 2 stone bricks.*

"Greetings,

As I travelled, I observed your fortress. I write this, to question the owner of this majestic keep, if thou needs a great Architect that will work for average prices. If needed, I can be given the raw materials, I have people that can transform them into the ones requested, I shall not start talking about prices, as if you are interested, please contact me, by bird or send a man to find me in Oren, I am usually there.

Best Regards,

Artus M. Haggard."

((Hello. It is not of such a big deal in this case, the but "you start reading it" is power gaming. You can and shall not write or play in this manner, where you force others to do something. In this case, you could just have skipped that. The player/characters will probably read on without it being forced on them, because you said so. I tell you this so you understand it better for future texts you might write. Have a good day ^o^))

((it's not all that big of a deal, and they left a sign ingame with a URL pointing us here, so we're very likely to read the sign hanging at our gate, no need to be mean about it, just inform them of better wording and move on.))

Menarra reads the note, rubbing her eyes and grumbling.  She rips down the sign and enters the keep, shutting the iron gate.  She moves around the small fortress island to the staircase on the keep and move upwards, navigating the stairs until she is at the top.  She moves over to the bird roost where her large black raven is resting, eating from a bowl of seeds.  Menarra takes a piece of paper from the container next to the roost and a finely shaped piece of charcoal and writes a response, sending the bird to the Oren man.

"We have no need of an architect, the Keep is functional and I care little for aesthetic opinion.

Do not return to Thornrose or you may not return from it again, my privacy is more important to me than your sad life.

(a sketch of a black, thorned rose signs the note)

The Black Rose"

Menarra sneers after she's sent the bird off.  "Damn Oreners never learn to mind their own business, they can all burn for all I care..." she mutters, moving into the keep to finish carving out her home, wondering where her only companion here has gotten off to.
