An Absence

A note is pinned to the exterior of Kalenz' and Azorella's home. It shifts slightly in the wind yet the writing in an uncharacteristically normal and black ink for Kalenz is visible. The writing seems hurried, almost as if the elf was in a rush to write the note.

 

Recent discoveries have warranted a temporary absence in order to study a particularly remarkable arcane phenomenon. I will return when said study has concluded though the precise duration of said study is unknown and may last upwards of ten years. In the case of no return assume the phenomenon has killed me.
