With the Declaration of war unto the Princedom of Malinor by House Chivay of the Westerlands of the Holy Oren Empire, the Lord of House Blackmont of the Dreadfort - akin to the same Empire, hereby upholds his holy marriage alliance by - likewise, declaring open warfare with the aforementioned Princedom of Malinor. Formal hostilies will be withheld for one elven week, to allow any time for negotiation. Should any elf commit any acts of hostility towards the men of Blackmont in this time, it will be considered outright that the Princedom has in turn declared war, and any attempts at peace talks halted. This declaration is made with no representation of any other Household in the Empire, save the direct vassals of Blackmont who are obliged to follow, and has no relation to the will of the Emperor. The Lord Blackmont wishes to make known his intention, to make his goal any objective set upon by House Chivay in this conflict, and promises the use of any means, unorthodox or immoral to accomplish such.

As the House Chivay has not yet called Blackmont into their assistance, but received this support on the will of the Lord Blackmont alone, independent concessions can be made with this great Household by the Princedom of Malinor for the mission and purpose of peace and prosperity.

So sent is this letter for the information of the various people on Anthos, so as to make safe as many lives as possible, and make as many aware as deemed necessary.

To the Princedom of Malinor a letter almost identical to the others is sent, albeit with a few additions.

To whomever now holds Malinor as High Prince,

The news of the strife within your own nation is troubling, and threatens to upend the balance of power that has been maintained on Anthos thus far. As such, it is with generosity and a desire for peace that Lord Augustus Blackmont invites any dignitaries to him, so as to possibly avert conflict. Failure to do so will be seen as an acceptance of the road to war, and result in a refusal to accept any other diplomats until called upon by the House Blackmont directly.

The letters are all signed,

By the hand of Ser John Woods the Lefthand

By the will of Lord Augustus Blackmont

*Arzota [as ambassador] receives one of these letters, looking it over with growing sadness*
"For once it looks like Malinor won't be coming back... no matter how hard we work" he mumbles with a sigh, moving deeper into the forest, and ultimately to the High Council chambers.

((Oocly, my thoughts, slightly Explicit:

Pontiff Adeodatus the First sadly strolls the streets of Salvus, his old half dead owl on his shoulder. As he strolls he sees two young lovers. Quietly he sneaks up behind them, as he gets closer he stops moving and just stares at them. Boiendl frowns as he thinks about love and how he has never really had someone to grow old with and hold. He Sighs and turns around to see a courier running up to him. "Your Grace, I bring grand news!" said the courier happily. Adeodatus looks at the courier sadly, nodding slowly he extends his hand and snatches a letter from the courier "Away with you boy, before I flog you!"Boiendl turns back to try and see the couple, to his despair they were gone, they ran when they had heard his voice and threats. He turns to his owl and smiles a little "You've always been there, and I hope you always will. You have never called me crazy or beat me, you've never disrespected me or taken advantage. You've just been there, and that's why I love you. "

Jullius cheerily sets Lord Blackmonts letter beside the letter from House Chivay that he had received the previous day. A broad grin is once again plastered across his face, as the situation grows more and more favorable. "I'd rather not work with The Flays on this, but I suppose that the enemy of my enemy is my friend."
