Celia recieves Aldeon's letter. She opens it, reading it, then cries.

"Oh, Aldeon... Don't leave without me... Life means nothing to me without you..." she mumbles to herself.

She grabs a piece of paper and a pen. She calls a bird, and, writing a letter, ties it to the foot of the bird.

((The letter))

I love you Aldeon. I will not leave you. Never, my life means nothing without you.

-Celia Tal'athri

She begins to run for the docks. She hopes the boats have not all departed.

((What does this entail OOCly, is this a seperate world thing and we can continue RP or is it akin to perma death/missing?))

((The High council is mostly leaving OOCly, I think permdeath/missing is more like it.))

Arahael gazes at the distant sea. Seeing the graceful ship smoothly cutting the waves. Her eyes brim with tears, each drop resonates as they splat on the leather cover of the book clutches to her chest. Her knuckles are white from the force of the gripping.

Yet she braces herself. She walks to Oceas's house as well as writing a letter to Isirack. She thinks of bortu and solutions, councils and alliances. Yet in her mind constantly replaying the scene of the last ship. Her hand clenches to a fist again as the delicate quill scrunches.

A bare sheet was about to be filled with ink.

Artimec feels as if the weight of the world has been lifted off his shoulders.

He has prepared speeches upon speeches, campaigns upon campaigns, petition after petition. And for it, he and his Lliran endured the weight of the corruption of the Mali. But no more.

The Councils are gone. Hopefully never to return, and now? Now the Mali people are free to /live/. They may feel the fruits of their labour, they may enjoy the basic freedoms once taken for granted.

Artimec could speak for hours, days. But he simply walks into the middle of Malinor's square. Saying one simple line, in a voice booming over a distance.

"The leaving of the council is not our demise, it is our salvation. Now the Mali may rise, and we may show Anthos the true potential of our race!"

Lelien watches the group board the boat with tears in her eyes.

A small sad smile is drawn across her face.

"Van'ayla, Kolyat. I will keep the Mali'aheral safe."

She lowers her head, her grip tightening around her trusty stick.

Lelien disappears in the crowd, going back to the city.

Ceru walks quickly along side the ship quickly, keeping pace, trying to get Kolyat's attention.

As they approach the edge of the docks, he shouts up to Kolyat.

"I will protect them, Kolyat! I promise you that!"

Ceru stops at the docks end, watching the boat hit open waters.

He utters under his breath.

"I promise."

The Bird Druids shakes his head bitterly.

"Farewell, my brothers and sisters! Farewell! Good luck in your new lands, and may your days be filled will bliss and harmony. I, however, shall not be joining you. My place is here..."

He turns, and walks off, trying to contain his sorrow.

Kan stands, watching the tears and good byes. He simply says, "And so another chapter ends in the great story of life, I wonder if it shall be end of the story for the Mali or if we shall carry on..."

Looks at the departure with uneasiness. "Are they really doing this?" He wonders, thinking that their just giving up, his cloak's hood droops even more over his face. "They didn't even fight back against those horrid Vallah!?" He says getting angrier, and losing more respect for those leaving each minute, and as they board the boats he shouts. "Van'ayla! Be at peace! For you leaving creates none here!" Believing his point is made, he walks away, angrier than he was when they started the labor for a home system.....
