The Screams Of A Hobbit

Rupert, taking a stroll through Lenfarthing and smoking his pipe yawns, his eyes watering from the bright sun as it sets. He gives a quick stretch with his shovel as he takes the trail to head home.

 

 

Staying much longer than he should have in Lenfarthing, he reaches the entrance to Witch Woods, it is almost nighttime. He cautiously walks, shovel in both hands. The sun sets, and night approaches.

 

 

After a minute or so, a skeleton came from behind an old, tall oak. An arrow flies by Rupert's ear, just missing. Rupert charges, giving the skeleton a nice whack on the head, popping the skull off.

 

 

Sighing in relief, Rupert keeps walking... but something is wrong...

 

A faint clicking sound can be heard in the distance, with the drawing of old, creaky bows...

 

The darkness envelopes Rupert, the moonlight no longer showing him the trail...

 

 

Rupert trips, tumbling over. He cannot see, but this sound only grows louder.

 

Rupert rips a match from his belt quickly, his hands trembling.

 

He scrapes it against a small rock, no spark is made. He does it again, a small spark... one more time...

 

 

The match ignites, the way is revealed once more... as are the skeletons looking down at him.

 

 

All that was heard from Witch Woods that night were the screams of a Hobbit.

So, I am killing off Rupert... BUT! I am making a new Halfling character, a redstone engineer/tinker type. Expect to see him around soon!
