*A ranger arrives at the imperial palace, carrying a parchment which he hands off to a Dragon Guard, a grim look on his face. The guard courtly delivers the parchment to the Emperor.

Your Imperial Majesty,

It is with great regret that I must send this news. I have found, as of late, both the health of myself and my dear brother deteriorating at a tremendous rate, such is common in our bloodline when we come to the age we have. I am terribly sorry to inform you that I plan to depart but two Elven days from today. We plan to sail to the unknown, and as horrid and idiotic as it may seem, we feel it must be done. Should we not depart, I am afraid we should be dead within the month.

My greatest regret is that I must depart in a time of such tension within the empire, and namely with my recent appointment as Privy Seal, something that came as a great surprise to me. Unfortunately this will act as my resignation, and I do humbly request that all of my hereditary titles are passed onto my first-born son, Codrik. As for the position of Privy Seal, I would also recommend my son for that honor, as biased as it may be, I do believe he would be able to take on such responsibility, if you saw him fitting.

I do hope you are aware, and I cannot begin to express how far I am in your dept. Both I, and my people owe you everything, even more than our lives. You gave us refuge, and took us in in our time of need. Even in death, I will be eternally indebted to do, and I am certain that my children, and my children's children, will continue to serve you to the best of their abilities.

My departure is planned for the sixteenth hour of the elven day after next. (4 PM Est., Sunday.)

I have great hopes that you might grace us with your presence and attend, but if not then I do leave you with my most sincere farewell.

With my Highest Regards,

Your faithful servant, Adam Green
