Telanir 6975 Share Posted April 17, 2013 No more of those bans for enchanted items and etc! What is this? This plugin was designed so that when there are items banned in-game-- They are actually banned. With this plugin, there will no longer be people banned on the account of storing enchanted items and other illegal items such as diamonds and etc. You will no longer need to make a modreq every time a zombie drops some enchanted item or illegal item. The plugin will either remove the enchant or remove the item depending on the circumstances, and you will be good to go! If you need an item enchanted for lore purposes or other things, or acquire an item such as a diamond through roleplay, make a modreq and have the GM handling it approve the item to be used in-game, that way it will not be removed from your inventory upon you interacting with it. That's about all. Hope you guys like this change!
Salamandra 1136 Share Posted April 17, 2013 If the items have already been approved, will they remain where they are?
Telanir 6975 Author Share Posted April 17, 2013 If the items have already been approved, will they remain where they are? Items are approved through the use of this plugin. So, as of right now, there are no approved items yet at all. If you have a legitimately acquired enchanted item in your inventory that would normally be removed-- do not touch it. Make a modreq and explain how you acquired this item and it will be approved.
EmeraldStag 165 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Woohoo! Awesome! This is gonna stop all those being banned for accidentally having those items! Currently, what is the reason Diamonds are banned? I recall that there are some people(Myself included) that have absolutely no idea why Diamonds are banned, nor can we find anywhere in the rules/news about Diamonds being banned. No links please. I would like a straightforward explained answer.
TheRoyalOnion(Aris) 101 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Is pm'ing a gm the only way to acquire an enchanted or named item? Also would one need to write lore or a back story for said item?

An average soldier wouldn't have a sword or armor made out of diamonds, yet that is what it quickly became.

I would like a straightforward explained answer. To put it as simply as I can, RPly diamonds are not supposed to be in Anthos at the moment. The only source of diamonds will be a future diamond mine (which should be opening VERY soon due to the mineralmanager plugin finally working), but as of now they should not be around IC. All the diamonds from Asulon and the 2.5 islands were thrown overboard RPly (To explain the inventory resets when Anthos launched), so all of the diamonds that are currently in circulation came around due to errors in coding or bugs, such as when certain mobs dropped them without us knowing. Although, even when diamonds are finally released via the mine, we will likely blacklist the crafting of diamonds into the current usable gear, such as weapons and armor, due to the fact that they are far superior and don't really fit with the theme we're going for. However, due to the fact that we can add our own custom items and recipes, we will just as likely add new items that can utilize diamonds that will be just as valuable to preserve their rarity and preciousness. This is of course a possibility, but I can not say for certain that this will definitely happen.
Wobbajack 119 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Is pm'ing a gm the only way to acquire an enchanted or named item? Also would one need to write lore or a back story for said item? This. I was always questioning how to get my hands on renamed items, seems they would make RP just that more interesting. Especially since bandits could take like a nobles special blade, and be able to brag about it IC.

Telanir 6975 Author Share Posted April 17, 2013 If you need to get an item named-- Simply make a modreq! Seriously, if you need an item named, it will be done, you don't need to go get lore for it. But, if it is an enchanted item, discussion will be required in that circumstance. GM's won't simply run around and enchant your items. ;)
