Price's body is easily picked up, in the shock his stilleto falls off his hands.

"Argh!! 'Elp me!"

Price flails his arms around, knowing not what to do.

Magnus, Dread Knight, a walking suit of steel and iron, who knows no fear or mercy, only pain, suffering and death, insane and sadistic, he marches through the woods, the sound of commotion drew his attention, and he headed towards it, seeking prey

Shoving a tree down, it crashed with a loud sound, he saw the odd group, and let out a metalic scream, looking up and seeing the man in the Harpy's grip, he lets out a metalic chortle, akin to rusty nail being scraped on a chalkboard

He raised his sword and readied his massive shield, and let out a warcry before charging at the group, bounding across the ground to them

Elindor realises the approach of Magnus and examines him quizzically. He rises to his feet and encourages Caln to take the shot at the Harpy.

Caln sees the nod from Elindor and shuts down all other senses. Only him and the harpy. The war cry of the man nearly breaks Caln's concentration, but he quickly regenerates it in seconds. In a swift motion, he plucks a goose-feathered arrow from his quiver and fits it into his recurve bow. Quickly, he draws the string back to his eye and aims at the Harpy's chest only to see the halfling flailing there. Adjusting his aim, he fires at the Harpy's large wing near the front in a deadly arc from below towards it in attempt to hit it out of its flight.

Ol' Treehugger snorted, rolling out of his bed and onto the ground with a loud thump. Grumbling and cursing, he pulled himself up to his window to gaze out at the vastness of the Witch Woods. "Somethin's nay.... right." He grabbed his staff and hurried downstairs. Not spiders, he thought; those were normal. It was a previously unknow evil in the air this morning.

Making sure to lock the door behind him he hurried down the path, holding his hat to his head. Walking in on the commotion, he looked up at the Harpy and let out an exasperated sigh. "What th' FECK is that thin' doing' in Tree'uggers woods?"

Caln's arrow clips only the tip of the Harpy's wing. In shock it drops Price from its clutches and flaps around for a bit, readjusting its sights in anger. Another horrifying shriek rings out across the treetops as it examines the men for its prey. This is no longer just about dinner.

Elindor spots Price plummeting to the ground. His stomach drops like an anvil and adrenaline rushes through him. With both hands clutched tight he pulls his staff in close, looking at the small body falling. Then his eyes clench closed as the muscles from his whole body tighten. He focuses on levitating Price's body to counteract gravity for long enough to slow his fall. By the time Price has made contact with the ground Elindor has collapsed under exertion.

Caln watches Price fall to the ground slower than usual. A question pops through his mind until he sees Elindor fall down as well answering his questions. He has seen Elindor's work and knows what must have happen. Suddenly, his thoughts are wrenched away as the Harpy shrieks again. Caln runs over to the halfling and with his free hand, tries to drag him over to the tree by Elindor hoping to gain some sort of cover. Once they are together, Caln crouches down and knocks another arrow waiting.

Begins to recover, staggering and grunting all over.

"Gahhh. .. ."

The Harpy circles around again then swoops in, landing 10 metres from the group under the tree. It snaps its talons together in the air threateningly while hopping closer.

Caln trains the bow on the Harpy. A flicker of movement flickers his vision to the halfling beginning to stir. Caln motions his head towards Elindor.

"Get the wizard and get out of here"

With that Caln fires the arrow at the Harpy's chest with a twang of the bow.

Falls back down, crawling around the leaves to find his stilleto. He notices Elindor's robe in his search and tugs on it scared for his life.

"Gemme' outta 'ere!" He commands, shocked still from the fall.

"Another eventful day, it seems" Treehugger sighs, readying his staff. Twirling it around, he mutters a chant before thrusting it in the direction of the harpy. The ground beneath it glows green and rumbles, and a dull hum fills the air.

Suddenly, the earth bursts as three large roots burst from the ground, flailing about! Shooting around the harpy, they pull tighter in an attempt to ensnare the hag. Treehugger laughs. "Yeh ain't goin' anywhere!"

The Harpy expects an attack from Caln, though not at such great speed. It attempts to dodge the projectile but receives the arrow into its stomach. The Harpy writhes around a bit until it finds itself swallowed up by roots. It squawks and splutters in discomfort.

Treehugger chuckles to himself. "There we go then, eh? What now? Kill it, imprison it? Tree'ugger ain't sure himself."
