Cats Don't Always Land On Their Feet

This was a normal day for S'Jinahe, Metz'al of Ri'Kirilenko, munna of Rameethar. She was walking around outside, finishing a day of work. Usually, before she heads home, she climbs up some trees, for added exercise. It was already becoming harder for her to climb, as she grew older. As she climbed, she thought about the day, reflecting on it. It had mostly been farming and little else.

 

She slowly ascended up the tree, now far from the ground below her. It didn't bother this sure footed kharajyr, though, as she felt that nothing bad could ever happen today. How wrong she was. As she leaped from tree to tree, thinking, a strong gust of wind caught her unawares just as she leaped off from one branch. Her small frame was no match for this wind, however, and she was thrown far from the branch she was nearing, and began to plummet to the ground.

 

"AEEEE!" she screamed as she fell backwards towards the ground, 

 

It was true, what they said about your life flashing before your eyes, however, it was more like a sped up version, and only lasted a few seconds. That was disappointing. 

 

She smashed against a branch below her, breaking her back, sending shattered bone through her flesh, with a nasty, wet CRACK as it happened. She made no noise as this happened, and rolled off the branch, once again sending her down the long fall to the hard ground.

 

SPLAT! was the noise she made when she hit the ground, further breaking her body, her head smashing against a rock, sending grey matter, blood and bone flying. Now, this was the rather gory end of S'Jinahe, metz'al of Ri'Kirilenko and munna of Cub Rameethar.

 Cub Rameethar looks around as he wanders the forest looking for his Munna Jinahe. 

 

"Munna!? Wheawr aree'a yuu!? Rameethar saw yuu gu thees way!"

 

Rameethar continues onwards through the foliage and suddenly stops. His nose snout rises up, sniffing the air. Rameethars eyes widen.

 

"Blawd? MUNNA! AWR YUU HEER!?"

 

The only answer is a deadly silence. Rameethar breaks into full sprint, worried for his mother's life. All of the sudden he makes a sudden halt where the smell of blood was coming from. Rameethar's eyes widen at the horrible sight in front of him.

 

"NAW! NAW! MUNNA!"

 

Rameethar kneels down to all fours and tears run down his midnight black cheeks. Rameethar's expression turns from sadness to anger. He attempts to gather the. . .remainder of Jinahe and carry it to a burial site. He buries the remains under a makeshift tombstone outside of his den. Rameethars life wouldn't be the same without his Munna. . .that's for sure.

 

"Rest een peece Munna. . ."

Zarek'Vanjir hears word of S'Jinahe's passing. Zarek had but one thing to say about it:

Ri'Kirilenko hears Rameethar's screaming and he scurries along to find him. "Rameethar, whutta ees wrang?!" He sees Rameethar with Jinahe's corpse and he stares. "Eet ees truu." Kirilenko roars up to the skies. "WHUTTA HAWS KIRILENKO DAWN TUU DEESAWRV THEES?! KIRIRILENKO HAWS SAWRVED YUU AWLL HEES LIAWF, HE HAWS BEEN GAWD, BAWT YUU HAWF CAWRSED HEEM TUU NAWVAR HAWV AWNEEY HUW HEE LAWVS, METZTLI! WHY'SA?!" He looks down to Jinahe and Rameethar, silently.
