Hadrian recalls that he helped eliminate one of those infestations on an island near Furnestock. "I suppose we may be dealing with a real problem here..." He remembers a journal he read once, and accidentally lost, years ago of creatures in the Northern seas. He remembers the Bohra. He remembers the notice in Salvus proclaiming news of an expedition past the Northern gate. "God help us."

Caln McHarnish looks at Hadrian as he reads the poster with him. His mind flashes back to the island as Hadrian fell to the undead. The tearing of limbs, the screams... only 7 of the 20 had made it home that day. Caln flashes back. Hadrian may not be his direct family, but he is his brother. Caln will not let his brothers die in the hands of the undead no more.
