Gideon Marsh's Journey North

Gideon stands in his farmhouse cleaning it while his other clansmen work the field when a bird with a letter arrives through the window he takes the letter assuming it is from Lachlan telling him to appear out of the farmhouse he opens it and falls in a seat near where he is cleaning the notes reads this. 

 

"My son Gideon

 

I am sorry I left you and your cousins to fend for yourselves those past years but me and Thoro knew you could deal with it we just had to help our old friends. I am sorry to say that Thoro received a grave wound the other day and I am sure he will pass this is why I am sending this message I need to see you my son I must tell you something I should have a long time ago but I cannot do it on this letter. Head north and you will find me I will be alive when you come just hurry.

Gideon finishes the letter and nods gathering what supplies he can and gathering them in a bag and leaves the building and walks to the field explaining to his family what he must do. He finishes speaking about something but before he leaves he gives one last command.

 

"Until I return Audin is the Chieftain. Make the Clan proud"

 

He turns walking out the gate and heads north

Elindor is journeying back South after spending a year examining the comings and going of the North Gate, and the ever-unchanging ice formations. He passes Gideon on his journey and they exchange pleasantries and warnings before continuing into the unknown future.
