A Letter From Beneath

Throughout the cold silence of the labyrinth, an echoing scratch could be heard from the deepest depths of the endless corridors. Down beneath the houses of Lin'evaral, and beneath the innumerable volumes of the eternal library, Lucion Sullas sat beneath his Orrery, and carefully penned a note--muttering to himself absent-mindedly about the "constant interruptions." After signing the note with his usual flourish, he looked up towards the obelisk-like tower that was the Orrery.

He knew little of what the device did, of course--the Guild of Mages didn't know either, as was why he was assigned to study the crumbling wreck of the device found buried in its own chamber beneath the Guild-House. They were unworthy of such a magnificent device; this marvel of engineering and architecture. Who else more deserving of such a machine than those of pure blood? Those of sound mind who could appreciate such a device in all its complex, logical beauty? Obviously, Lucion obsessed over its construction incessantly. He had not left the Labyrinth for three days, and his mind blurred in and out of focus. Reality and dreams only involved the Orrery. What was real, and what was false could no longer be accurately discerned.

Lucion, therefore, was scratching out multiple notes, and had been doing so for nearly an hour--making sure that the ones he wrote were truly in reality. They all bared the same message.

Gathering up numerous copies of the message, he carried them out quickly towards the entrance of the eternal library, and pinned them all clumsily together upon the inner-wall, where any walking in could see them--they should have no excuses to disobey the Sohaer, or pretend they did not hear his orders.

He reached into his coat, and pinned also an old, early drawing of the Orrery he made upon first being shown it all those years ago. The picture was scrawled and smudged, but it would undoubtedly get the message across. It appeared as thus--

"To all those who should see this note, know that I, Lucion Sullas, am in need for supplies to further the Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. I require:

--30 bricks of lightstone

--The special componants that were promised by Mr Silir'ilume

--Specialty-crafted glass (See one for specifics)

--A bed

One expects this order to be fulfilled as soon as possible.

maehr'sae hiylun'ehya

-L. Sullas."

Kalenz' eyes scan the note. He swiftly procures a piece of parchment and pins his own note next to it, the text glowing green:

Should one wish to help Lucion complete his toy, be sure the resources would not be best put to something more productive before they are granted to him. If he can not identify the purpose of what he is creating, one highly doubts the value of it to the mali'aheral and the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya.

In a similar fashion to the first series of notes, a further dozen messages are written and pinned in a single location upon the wall at the entrance of the library. Along with them, is yet another scrawled picture connected to the notes haphazardly with string. It reads as thus--

"One is in need of an artist to create a mid-sized, spherical object of green and blue. One is not sure what this thing is precisely, but one shall follow the original designs to the letter--I am unsure what significance even the slightest detail may include!"
