Past /
History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): "Well then, let us begin with the basics about me shall we? My name is Faiz Kharadeen. I was born in the town of Aldersberg. I have a mother, a father, and 2 younger brothers. We had moved out of Aldersberg and into Kingston when I reached the age of 5 because of my father. My father was but a humble merchant, trying to make a living just for us. He wasn't a very successful merchant like the others were, we were kinda in the middle of the lower and middle class, but still that doesn't really matter much to us. My father is a kind and loving individual, who I looked up to dearly.  When I reached 7 years, my father started to take me and my younger brothers to his stall to show us the lively hood of the city. My father wanted to also teach us the art of trade, so that one day when we become older we would inherit his shop when he passed. I was not at all interested at that age at trade, I didn't know what I wanted to do when I was to become older. I couldn't cook that well, I was awful at repairing or making things, I can't farm or catch fish, and I wasn't very creative. But, I do enjoy other people's happiness, I wasn't sure why. One day, a beggar came to the market, asking for food and money. All the merchants rejected him, and called the guards upon him. My father saw this and told the guards to stop, to bring the beggar to him. The guards pushed the beggar towards my father, and my father looked into his eyes and said "Here you go friend, I hope this helps." My father had given him bread, water, and a few menas. I will never forget that man's face after the kind deed my father has done. His smile made the day brighter, for me and my father. After that my father told us that " It is always good to help and to be generous for those in need, because they'll always remember your kind act and one day will repay the favor." That is when I realized what I wanted to do when I became older.. I wanted to help people! I want to brighten their days just how that beggar brightened mine. But sadly I didn't know how. I didn't have the money, class, or nobility to do anything..."

" When I became 12, my uncle came to visit. I have never met him before, but my father has told me stories. My uncle is apart of the military, even though he is just a corporal he had extensive skills! He was strong, fast, and had cunning weapon skills. He'd came to visit because he was on leave for a couple of months, and he wanted to visit his only brother and his nephews. While we were eating dinner together in our little cottage, he had asked me and my younger brothers what we wanted to do when we became older. My youngest brother said he wanted to be a architect, my middlest brother said he wanted to become an merchant just like my father, and I told them I wasn't sure what I want to do but that I wanted to help people. My father, mother, and my uncle smiled greatly. "My, what lively jobs you all want to do! Frank, your children are just wonderful!" said my uncle. "I know. I'm very proud of all of them." said my father."

"The next day, my father took my middle brother to the stall and my mother took my youngest brother along so they can go shopping. It was just me and my uncle. My uncle told me to come outside so we can chat. "So... You want to help people eh?" I told him yes, I did. "How come? Don't you know some people won't care what you do, and might even shun you? You'll make enemies you know..." I told him I didn't care, it's the smiles that mattered. I told him about the day with the beggar at the market and how that made me want to do what I want to do. "I see.. Typical of your father, he just loves to give. But, if you really want to help people, you need to change yourself. You need to become strong, you need to learn how to wield a blade, then will you truly be able to help people. Here try to lift this." He handed me his sword, and I held it high in the air for about 10 seconds before I dropped it to the ground due to it being very heavy... "Hahaa, can't even hold a sword for more than 10 seconds eh? We can fix that." For the next year and a half, he started training me, making me stronger, faster, smarter, and more agile. He taught me how to blend in within my environment, how to be sneaky and stealthy, how to be completely quiet, and how to notice every part of my surroundings. He then taught me how to hold a sword and how to defend myself from attackers. He told me I had excelled in learning the arts of holding a sword faster than he had expected.  He also taught me a few things with a bow, which again I excelled in, but still I preferred the sword more than the bow. After he had taught me all that he knows, he then told me that I shall now become an assassin. I was shocked at his remark, but then he reassured my feelings. "You are not going to become an assassin of evil, but of good. You shall now be able to take care of yourself, to be able to stop evil from overcoming our world, to be able to sense evil lurking, and most of all to be able to help those in need. You shall now become an assassin for the greater good, protect the innocent, and create a world of peace and tranquility. Continue to train hard and one day you will live up to your name." (I didn't know what he meant about the last part until years later when I asked my father what he meant.)"

"About a month later after my completed training, my uncle had been called back to the military to help fight in a conflict. 2 months later, we were told he was killed in action... Months later, the military delivered to us his only possessions. Within those possessions was a journal. My father saw this and gave it to me, told me it was better for me to have it than him. I read through it and learned more about my uncle and father. It also reminded me of what I should do when I am older, except more in depth this time. It told me before I begin my journey across the world, I should wear a robe with a heavy hood to mask my identity from my enemies. The thing is, I can't knit or make anything.... So I had to ask my mother to make one for me, who was happy to oblige. It turned out wonderful."

"Months after my uncle's death, life went on normally again. I helped my family when needed. Whenever I had time, I trained. Whenever I was with my father in the city, I tried very hard to learn. I also taught my younger brothers a little bit of what my uncle taught me, so that they can defend themselves too. Days went on, and everything was normal. We enjoyed every day like it was our last, especially the feast of spring. I usually wouldn't partake in the hunting, since i'm not that fond of killing animals, but I did celebrate!"

"Now that I'm 21, I believe I am ready to set on my quest around the world. To finally help those in need when needed and change the world for the better, but it's going to take a great amount of time and effort to do that. I told my family of my plans and they said they support my actions. My father then told me I was gonna live up to my name after all. I asked him what do you mean? He told me that my name is Faiz, which meant Hero."

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer

As Faiz takes a stroll through the capital,he notices a shady individual making his way to the emperor's palace... As a keeper of peace, he had to make sure that individual wasn't up to anything. Faiz carefully gets near him and stops him at his place. "Excuse me good sir," said Faiz, " May I ask what you are up to this fine evening?" The shady individual removes his hood and starts to yell at Faiz "OI! What ar yee lookin' at *hic* ya wee buggard? Duntcha knows I *hic* gotsh places to bes?"  Faiz confused by his slurred speech looks at him for a bit, then notices the bottle of whiskey in his hands and realizes this man is just drunk. "Oh i'm terrible sorry about that sir, but what place do you have to be at that is so important?" Says Faiz.  "Welllllll *hic* isn't ish obvious? That big ol' pub thats wheree!*hic*. I'm ready to getsh drunkhh!" "Ah..." said Faiz. Faiz knows he has to get this man going somewhere else, otherwise the guards will think he's up to no good and put him in the prison... He had to think of something. "Well I wouldn't go there if I were you... That place sells the worst beer ever! But... If ye are looking for a place with good whiskey and beautiful women, i'd suggest going to the pub down south." Faiz then points south, since the man looks a bit confused to as where he is. "Ohhhhhhh, ya don't say now do ye? Well good on yas fer telling *hic* me! Ye ain'tsh so bad afterall!" He then starts to wobble a bit south, stops, burps very loudly, then just collapses on the floor. Faiz couldn't help it but chuckle a little bit. He then called the guards over and asked them politely if they could escort this man to a local inn. They agreed, then Faiz then paid them some menas, enough to pay for the inn and some extra for themselves.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer:

While traveling to Ager , Faiz notices a bunch of bandits harassing a old feeble man "Hmm... Seems to me we have some trouble..." says Faiz. Faiz carefully use his skills to get near the bandits without alerting them of his presence. "Ahem." Faiz said aloud, "Excuse me gentlemen, but may I ask what you are doing to this poor defenseless man?"  The bandits startled by his random presence withdraw their blades and point them at Faiz. "Who are YOU? What are you doing here?!" exclaimed the first bandit. "Get out of here now, you have no reason to be here" said the second bandit. Calmly, Faiz then replied "I shall do nothing of the sort. Leave this innocent man alone, otherwise you'll have to deal with me." The two bandits burst out in laughter at his remark. "Hahaaa, what are you going to do with that measly iron sword? Whittle us a bow?" The second bandit said mockingly. Faiz cracked a smile at his little joke, then said" No not at all, but if you'd like, I can show you what I CAN do with this sword." The bandits then lose their patience with Faiz, and then leap out at him with their sharp swords, but Faiz can tell that they are inexperienced sword wielders. Faiz withdraws his sword quickly and takes his stance, sword raised high waiting for the first strike. The first Bandit swings low, and that's where Faiz notices his footing mistake. Faiz swung his sword upon his blade hard which caused the bandit to stumble. Faiz swung once more at him which caused him to drop his sword and fall hard upon the ground. The second bandit was carefully trying to sneak up behind Faiz, but the old man realized this and yelled to Faiz "Behind you!" The bandit then swung towards Faiz head, but with the help of the old man, he quickly ducked, rolled to grab the first bandit's weapon and stood tall with two weapons at hand. Faiz could tell by this bandit's footing that he had some skill in him, so he had to be careful. The bandit came fast on the attack and swung his sword from up high. Faiz side swept to the left and was waiting for the opportunity to disarm him. The bandit swung ferociously at Faiz, but wasn't able to get any hits on him, Faiz was just to fast for him. Faiz then thought of a cunning plan and then threw the sword he had taken from the first bandit high into the sky. The bandit then instinctively looked up at the blade, which was his utter mistake. Faiz then punched him in the side of the face which stunned him a little bit, and then launched his blade upon his. The bandit dropped his sword. Faiz lastly kicked him in the chest, which caused the bandit to sway back.

"Now then, since you are clearly defeated be off, otherwise I'll be forced to take your life." The bandits, frustrated at their defeat, get up and leave with haste. "I'm terribly sorry about that sir, I hope they didn't cause you any trouble" said faiz. "Oh thank you very very much! Is there any way I could repay you?" said the old man "No, its alright don't worry about it. Here, take these swords, that way you can defend yourself if they ever come back" Faiz then hands the bandits sword to the old man. "Thank you young man. Tell me, what is your name?" Faiz then replied,"The name is Faiz good sir, it was a pleasure meeting you but I must be off. Have a good day!" "You too! Thanks again!"

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What doyou do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer:

As I walk across the capital, I come across a merchant selling a variety of things. The first thing that caught my eye were a couple of old books scribed "God's will" and "Book of Heroes". "Ahh, hello sir! I see that you are interested in these here books.." said the merchant. "Why, yes I am! They seem very old and interesting... Tell me, how much for both?" I asked. "How much are you willing to offer?"he asked

"No particular amount really..."

"Hmm... How does 20 menas sound?" he asked.

"Hmm.. Sounds decently fair-"

"I mean 15 menas! That's a good deal for these two books! If you don't think so I'll be willing to haggle down the price for you..."

I can tell he is really trying to get rid of these books... Why?... Upon closer examination I notice that his coin pouch is very very small, and that his clothes are a bit torn.. It seems to me his business is taking a toll for the worse and that he's trying very hard to feed himself and his family... He reminds me a bit like my father.. "Alright you got yourself a deal sir! 15 menas for the two books!" I said happily

"Very good sir!" he said  with delight. I then place a pouch of coins on the table and he hands me the two books. I then thanked him greatly for the books and left.

"No no, thank you! Come again, tell your friends!" As the merchant grabs the coin pouch off the table, he notices it to be a bit heavy... "What the?... Oh god please no... Don't tell me I got ripped off.." he said gloomly.

The merchant then opens the pouch and puts his hand in to retrieve what was inside. " Why... It can't be!... There must be at least 250 menas in here! I- I can't believe it! I mean, but why? This has to be a mistake!" He opened the pouch and looks again inside to find a little papyrus note that said "When the time comes, give back to those who need it the most."
