Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Explain everything from my own knowledge.

Role-playing: Playing the game from your character's perspective, not your own.
Meta-gaming: Gaining and using knowledge your character isn't supposed to know. For example, you find out where the enemy orc base is out-of-character and you use that information in-character to go there.
Power-emoting: When the actions of one player is forced on another player without giving the other player chance to act. For example, 'Steven steals Harry's coin purse from his belt' should actually be 'Steven attempts to steal Harry's coin purse by reaching for his belt'.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Ceru Evarir
Current Age: 284
Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Ceru Evarir was named by his father Taynuel Evarir. He was named Ceru because his father's friends had agreed to train him with a bow when he came of age. Taynuel knew of some of the ancient elven language from when he once came across an old tome filled with notes, labeled Aerin Lissar, at the time when he was living on the border of Ager, serving Count Niko Althered.
When Ceru was a child he lived in Leumalin with his parents. They had a fair amount of money but they were not rich. His father served as a Scout in the High Guard and was agile and quick which suited his role perfectly. Ceru's father was bringing in the majority of the family's income for the first 15 years of Ceru's life. Ceru was not largely independant by the age of 15 as his mother, Okar Evarir, used to do many things for him and he refused the bow training from his father's friends.
One evening however his father was on one of his evening patrols in the western forests on the perimeter of Leumalin when he spotted a dark shadow looming ahead. As he cautiously approached the shadow it darted into a dark dense part of the forest. Taynuel silently brandished his patterned iron dagger and was thinking of the rumours  about spiders' origins from Anthos, when a large spider leaped upon him. He had heard about the cunning of these particular spiders and the way they ambush unwary travellers. The spider swept him off his feet with it's slicing limbs and it created a large gash on his leg. As quickly as it started a beautifully crafted arrow sliced through the air and burried into the spider, killing it instantly. Taynuel turned to thank his rescuer and was shocked to see the sight of dryad. This dryad was green and brown and was of average height for a female wood elf. He guessed that it was a sequoia dryad because of her adventurous personality and crave of action. She helped him up and squeezed an amount of string out of the spider's abdomen and patched him up with it so it could hold the wound together temporarily. She told him that she was going to take him to her tree of origins so she could help him further, and he accepted. Unfortunately this dryad had passed jungle dryad territory in order to reach him and they had to pass it again. These dryads are notorious for their great size and mood swings which were something to look out for. Immediately one of these large dryads approached them and greeted them with respect and asked if they wanted to see it's tree of origin, the two kindly declined. This action outraged the dryad immensly and without second thought she stomped on Tanyuel wounded leg. The wound opened up and blood gushed out, he bled out in three minutes.
The seqouia dryad followed his trail back out of the forest to the city and found a Warden, she told him of the whole story. The news spread like wildfire about Taynuel's friends and Ceru and Okar quickly learned of the truth. This had a huge emotional impact on the family and Ceru especially. He became independant quickly and moved into a home closer to the barracks where his father used to train. For almost 100 years he trained like clockwork with his father's friends and he learned how to use a bow moderately well, he thought that it was his duty to follow in his father's footsteps and train in combat.
When Ceru turned 120 years old his mentors had recommended for him to join the High Guard with them so he could still practice with the bow. He turned the offer down because he doesn't exactly enjoy following orders and he wanted to have freedom. So after the refusal of the offer Ceru's mentors recommended to him that he take up the hobby of hunting because he could then continue in perfecting his bow skills and learn to blend in with nature as wood elves usually do.                                     For almost 80 years Ceru roamed the forests with a keen eye. He preyed on unsuspecting wild pigs for their meat; cows also for their meat and hide and chickens for their precious feathers. He struck deals with the local tailor and blacksmith, feathers and leather in exchange for an amount of minas. Occasionally, Ceru agreed to exterminate forest wolves for sheep farmers as they were considered pests around there. Then Ceru's mother suggested to him that he join the Great Hunt to exhibit his current hunting skill, he agreed and was sponsored a sum of 100 minas by his fellow mentors. Usually elves shun the Feast of Spring in which the Great Hunt is for because of it celebrating birth which an elf finds difficult but Ceru was only participating in the hunt and not the feast. He did his best in the Great Hunt and he met his own target of 37 animals. However, his eye was slashed by a hidden juvenile spider which managed to ambush him, he made quick work of it but he thought he remembered that specific place from somewhere.  Eventually he was familiar with hunting prey and he took to hunting aggressive wolves for payment. When he amassed enough minas he said farewell to his mother and he thanked his mentors because he was leaving Leumalin to seek adventure in the wild lands ahead.

1.As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering.Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?

Answer: Ceru remembers the time when  the other elves of his age mocked him because of his father's death. He gains courage by thinking back to that time and he strolls over to the older elves with a stern expression. The older elves laugh at him as he walks over and the tallest one, who is about the same height as Ceru, asks "What are you doing here shorty?" Ceru doesn't change his expression at the pathetic insult after hearing it many times before. Instead he simply raises his finger and points to his right eye, the scarred one. The shorter two elves whince at the sight of the wound and slowly walk back a step or two. The taller one pretends to ignore it but can't help looking at it. "You know how I got this scar?" Ceru asks them, " I got this by dealing with bullies before, I broke their arms after they called me 'half an orphan'". The two smaller elves, clearly terrified sprint off in the other direction, but the taller one stands his ground and then punches Ceru in the stomach. Ceru flinches but quickly recovers and goes in for a headlock. It is a success and the elf admits to submission and after Ceru releases him he runs off to where his two friends had ran to. He turns around to face the child he protected and he is surprised to see that he is gone. Ceru checks the tree he was behind and there on the floor is a small note reading 'Thank you for protecting me, I owe you one.'

2.Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapsesin front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud.Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer: Ceru helps the man up and asks "Are you okay?" he sits him against the nearest tree for support and collects the man's coins and returns them. "I think so, thank you for helping me up, I will be fine now." Ceru doesn't believe the old man and he replies "No, you won't be okay. I insist on accompanying you to Leumalin, there you can rest." The man thanks Ceru for his generosity and hands him the bag of coins with a kind smile. Ceru looks at him and shakes his head, "I'm sorry I can't accept these off you" The man insists despite Ceru protesting to it so in the end he takes the bag. Ceru manages to lift the man up and walks with him to Leumalin where he goes to the nearest inn for rest and nourishment. The man lingers in the doorway and thanks Ceru with all his heart, Ceru replies "I'm glad I could be of assistance to you." With that the man walks into the inn and Ceru goes his way.

3.Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

Answer: Ceru walks towards the merchant with a smile on his face admiring the stock that is displayed infront of him. The merchant greets him with a warm "Welcome!" and Ceru returns the greeting with a friendly hand gesture. Ceru spots out a fine looking quiver lying on the table, and asks the merchant "How much?" The merchant stands there and considers the price carefully. Eventually he replies "30 minas, my friend!" Ceru takes time to evaluate this price and he informs the merchant "Excuse me sir! That price is quite high, I will pay 15 minas for this quiver!" Unfortunately the merchant is not convinced that 15 isn't enough and quickly blurts out "25 or nothing!" Ceru, amazed by the sternness of the merchant, decides to meet the dealer halfway and he replies "20 minas or I will leave!". The merchant senses that that is Ceru's final price so he grudgingly agrees to 20 minas and Ceru leaves with the leather quiver across his back.
