The Battle Of Snow

The Dwarves slowly gather in Kal'Azgoth, murmuring. The sound of armor hitting the
chain mail echoes through out the Azgoth halls. Sounds of excited men drinking ale
is coming from the tavern. The Dwarven Legionnaires stand around the master hall,
discussing plans.

The Grand Marshall and the commanders form a line of volunteer dwarves that require armor.
The rest gather around the center of Azgoth, talking, laughing, raising eachother's morale
by convincing each other of victory. Meanwhile, Indago collects snowballs for some silly
reason. He's an odd dwarf.

"Fer Dungrimm! Fer F'orin! Fer tha Kingdom o' Urguan!" yells are heard all around the city.
The sky turns dark, and loud stumps are heard outside of the gate. The orcish clan sets
foot in Kal'Azgoth, and some of the dwarves look uncomfortable. The memories of the war
between the two would fade away after today. The orcs are supplied with bloody, dirty
armor. Their great weapons are about the height of Thorin himself.

Wulfric and Igor stand near the Azgoth stairs. The mighty roars are heard on the path.
The Kha are marching in the most organised fashion, A huge line of the are going up
the stairs. The dwarves are most grateful for the appearance of the Kha.
"Tha' mewmews 'ave arrived! Welcome tah Kal'Azgoth, tha city o' gol'."

The army assembles in a neat Vel, as the last of the armor and weapons are given out.
Most men are nervous, it would be a tough battle to fight. If they lose this, they lose
the alliance of the elves, and the trust of many others. Losing this might
result in the worst consequences for the side of the dwarves. Legionnaires stand straight,
ready to battle, whilst other dwarves clumsily get pulled down by the armor. The Khas
roar, their claws scratching against their armor. The orcs beat their chests. They march.

As they reach Storm's crossing, the men get organised, swords out, bows ready, armor tight
Thorin assembles the dwarves, and makes a speech. He men are ready, and they charge.
Thousands of snowballs are thrown from the side of the dwarves. The arrows miss
most of the dwarves, all of the dodging the arrows. The sounds of pulled bow strings
come from all over, crossbows striking knight's armor.

The commanders order to charge
the bridge, but most cower in fear, leaving those who're brave in front, vulnerable. The
Blackmonts charge from the left bridge, surprising most of the archers, not ready for a
close range attack. Most defending the middle bridge come to the aid for the archers,
leaving the middle bridge open for a charge that soon came. Then the battle really began.
Humans accidentally stabbing each other, the Kha confused, the orcs retreating, the dwarves
running around like mad, trying to decide which side to defend. The forces split up,
they become weaker. That was the most powerful thing that the dwarves had, staying
close together.

All the numbers decreasing, the dwarves decide to retreat a bit.
Some dwarves continue to push- unfortunately, those who are brave die first.
The humans out-number those who cower. The forces are losing hope. The blades lay
down on the blood-stained grass. Those who retreated to Storm's Crossing are those who
survived, but had no hope left. With the last push of Oren, the dwarves retreat so far
that they lose the battle.

Most dwarves line up in the temple, healing their wounds. The temple hasn't been this blood
stained for a while. Hasn't stunk like bloody flesh for years. "T'is battle wa' ah difficult un."
said a elder dwarf "It'll beh remembad fer generations o' Urguan's children"
