Character Sub-race: Kha' Leparda

Character appearance (Including age and gender): Si Mejargo is a 16 year old Kha'Leparda, he is 3"2 with light brown fur. Mejargo is a late bloomer, being very small and under-developed compared to other kha his age, he is very flimsy and lanky. His eyes are an island of gleaming amber, surrounded by charcoal coloured rings, he grins when he is up to no good, which displays his sharp canines, one of which is broken half way. His fur is contrasted with little black rings. Merjargo is relatively good at walking and only rarely crawls.

What is the personality of your character like?: Si Mejargo is a rather timid but curious Kha, he is fascinated by the 'apes' despite the fact he is always told they are inferior he wishes to study them and learn more about them. Mejargo is a passive creature, if he is told to do something he will do it without question despite whether they are higher or lower in society than him. He is also a very slow learner and struggles with his speech, he mostly communicates by pointing and using single words. That being said, Merjargo is actually rather intelligent and understands the outside world, but most assume he is stupid because of his lacking physical and speech skills.

Biography (If you are applying as a kitten, please only state the name of your parents/siblings) Si Mejargo was seen as a disgrace by his family, when the other Kha were out learning to fight and hunting he was still suckling at his mother's breast.

His father was a mighty warrior and hunter, respected amongst the Kha community, but he was extremely harsh and arrogant, so his son was a disgrace to him. When Merjargo was 13 his father was ready to throw him out into the streets because he was so embarrassed by his son, though his mother always prevented this. A few years on, Merjargo was 16 and had only matured a little, his mother had disappeared without a trace and Merjargo's father assumed she had ran away because of his son.

Merjago found himself out on the streets with no-one to care for him.

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr: Si Merjargo wishes to follow his fathers footsteps and become a warrior and hunter like him, so that one day he might accept him back into his family.

Character’s strengths/weaknesses: Si Merjargo is currently very small for his age, he is weak, flimsy and sensitive. However, Merjargo is actaully quite intelligent but he has not had an opportunity to show it yet.

Situational Roleplay Questions

1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react? Merjargo growls, hugging tightly to his fish, trying to show his teeth to the humans in an attempt to scare them, the men laugh at him and continue to threaten him.

"Nice teeth kitty, I'll have them mounted above me fireplace"

"Nuu.... Merjargo no giff..." He says, growling at them.

One of the men draws his sword and edges closer to Merjargo, he now realizes that it would not be possible for him to win, he lets out a yelp, and throws the fish at the man edging towards him, hitting him in the helmet and making him stumble back for a few seconds. In this time Merjargo turns and jumps onto all fours, scrambling away from the men, only just managing to escape before he is grabbed.

Later that night Merjargo curls up, whimpering, yet another night where he will sleep with an empty belly.

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react? Merjargo looks over to his friend, whimpering softly, he knows that he could not win in a fight against his friend for he is older and much larger than him.

"No, no do.... Ees... E-ees no.... No g-guud...." Merjargo whimpers meekly, trembling with fear that he will be caught and blamed for the crimes. "N-no do..." He sheepishly rubs his paws together, looking about as he bites his lip.

The friend growls at Merjargo "You tell, and I kill you..." He drops the jewels into his pouch hissing, only making Merjargo more horrified.

"M-me no s-see..." He says, slowly edging away and running off to snitch on his friend, because he knows that his friend will be captured before he can harm him. Besides, he would want to get into the authorities good books so that when he is old enough they let him join.

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react? Merjargo grits his teeth, stirding over to the dwarf, trying to be as intimidating as possible, he looks the dwarf square in the eye and growls.

"Quie' aype" He says, breathing heavily at this point.

The dwarf cackles at Mejargo "Never before 'ave ah seen such a wee lil' kit!" he says, reaching for Mejargo's tail.

Mejargo's widen as he retracts his tail, clearly now infuriated by the dwarf, he swipes at his face with his claws, leaving a four long lines across his face. The dwarf howls, sending a punch to Mejargo's gut, making him double over, the dwarf then sends a hook to Mejargo's right temple, making him fall down. The dwarf reaches down to try and grab Mejargo by the scruff of his neck, but one of the temples' monks intervenes, pushing the dwarf away

"Leave the kha' alone, he is just a kit" He says, turning back to Mejargo, he growls at the term 'kit', but is grateful he is being saved, so stays quiet.

"Ye fookin' ruin everytin'" The dwarf huffs, walking off.

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react? Mejargo looks at the situation, horrified by what he is seeing, he has never been so conflicted in his life, he freezes for a moment, though it seems like it could have been an hour, whilst he argues against himself. He knew his friend meant the world to him, but if he left the Tlatlanni's kit he would be hated forever. Why not both? He asks, but he soon comes to the conclusion his friend is too big for him to be able to save both. He knew he had to do the right thing, and that was to save the kit, he charges forward, towards where the kit is trapped under a table.

Mejargo flips over the table and grabs the kit, he glances over to his friend for the last time, caught off guard by how calm he seemed, his friend knew that he had no choice and this was the end. Mejargo looks to the ground, crying slightly as he charges forward and leaps out of the door of the house and setting down the kit.

He turns and watches in horror as the house collapses, extinguishing the screams of his friend.
