Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:




Role-playing: Emerging into a fictional character in a fantasy


world, comonly diffrent from the real one, living the life of that


character, meeting other peoples characters. Assuming a role of that


character.

 

Meta-gaming: It is using ooc information to affect the


RP, mostly ruining the game and the roleplaying experience. In games it


is also know as ghosting, since you are using information unknow to your


character to in some way profit from that information. profit meant


like getting an advantage in a battle.

 

Power-emoting: Term comes from online games. It is used to show


and inform other players of your actions, for instance: *nooblord5000


prached his troath*, but used in a way to affect the game in a way it


could otherwise not be a affected. Let's say theres a battle between


player A and B. Player B is loosing and thus he uses power-emoting like


*Player B uses a god potion that heals him completely and kills player


A* That is power-emoting.

Jonathan



was born in a small village near the south coast, his father was a



fisherman and his mother a housewife. From the day he first opened his



eyes, his parents knew he will be a smart child. Many villagers had him



for an weirdo since he wasnt into any of the thing they were doing. He



wasnt interested into fishing and often he spent his whole day in the



woods observing the nature. The only thing hes father managed to teach



him was swordsmanship. Joathan exceled with quicker swords like rapier



and machete, but was never good wtih bigger swords or blunt weapons.



There was also one thing that caught his eye, alchemy. He would often



steal spices from his mother and boil them in a couldron he hid behind



the house. He knew how many combinations of potions there can be created



and he was eager to try them all. All the colors,smells and effects!

 

Soon



his parents learnt that Jonathan was not a simple peasant type and they



sent him to the capital of Holy Oren Empire to study in its



big library. That was a whole new place for him. So many diffrent races,



skin colors, tradders bringing in items from all across the worlds. But



he would notb e easily distracted, he was studying without a pause and



the only free time he took was to slee,eat and practice wtih his sword



he bought with some of the money his aprents gave him before he left.

 

After



4 years of studying, he was 19 by then, the city became to boring and



reppetative for him. He decideds that he will set out to see the other



kingdoms of Anthos

Ambitions for the Future: To colect as much data about races,places,animal,plants and enviroments as posible, while traveling the realm.

[b]1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?[/b]

Answer: I would run after the person yelling: ''Guards, stop that man!''

When I would catch up to him, I would tacke him.

ME:''Identify yourself and do it fast, the guards are comming and I am not afraid to use my sword either.''

Stranger:'Long live the rebellion, death to the king!''

ME:



'' Pity, and what use would you have of that, there is no war going on



and the people love the king. Even if he died, a member of his family



would take the throne.''

Stranger: Your words will not stop me! I must finish my asignment even if I have to die for it.

ME: Pathetic, you do realize you wont even make it to the castle gate? You will only get yourself killed or thrown in jail.

I would keep the stranger bussy, talking to him until the guards would come.

 

[b]2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?[/b]

Answer:



While approaching the cottage, I would pull my sword out and yell ''



Hello dear sir, may I ask, why are you picking on a poor old man?''

B1:''Mind your own buissnies kid and you might not get hurt, might.''

B2:''Yeah''

M:



well I am afraid I cannot let you do that, for that old man is clearly



in danger and since I was loking for some fun.This is exactly what I was



looking for."

B1: Well you just made the worst decision of your life, kido"

The



*bandit would charge at me, and a battle would start, at the end I would win the battle but with severe damage, fortunately the other bandit gets scared and runs away.

 

 

Now the old man approaches me.

OM: "Thank you for saving my life, I am in your debt now. I sahll repay you in gold"

M:"The only reward I need is a bed and some food for tonight."

OM:"Well no problem you are welcome to stay here for the night."


[b]3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).[/b]

 

ME:"Hello merchant! That is some fine apples you are selling there."

MT:"Well thank you, they're all the way from the east, I got a fresh shipment this mornning."

ME: Well how much would you like for one of those?"

MT:"10 minas!"

ME:" Well that is quite an amount of money for a simple apple."

*I would start barganing for a price*

 

MT: Look kid, I see that neither of us is going to let go here. Since its my lucky day and i did over sell my quota I'm going to be a good man and give you one for free.

ME: Thank you kind sir, that is very kind of you.

MT: Just go away before I change my mind.

*I would then run off, to continue my adventure*
