A toad sits in the shade of the old oak stump at Hogwaller Hill, croaking to it's heart's content. Deep in the bowels of nature's carcass, Bango Blackfoot picks at his toenail for a few minutes with a carving knife before settling in for his business. He reaches over to make sure there's papers, ever vigilant since that incident long ago in the Witch Woods in which he lost both sleeves and his best handkerchief.
As he lifts the lid of the mouldy wicker basket nearby, something catches his eye.

"Oi then, what 'ave we here? Fancy readin' material..."

He snatches up the dusty tome, turning it over in his hands. The sheepskin pages are slightly aged, but he can still make out the distinctive green writings.

"A History of Halflings, by Petyr Brandybuck."

Grinning at his find, he opens to the first page and begins to read, as content as a toad.

As he finishes, he tucks the book back safely in it's place so that another might happen across it in their time of need. Perhaps others too may leave behind their own good reads for the pleasant folk of Lenfarthing to enjoy while they escape their labors in the shade for a short while.

(Hope y'all enjoy, those things are a pain to transcribe. I'd really like to start collecting stories and things for the halflings to share, it just seems like something we'd do. If you have ever had to poop in Lenfarthing, you may use this information in-character.)
