A Crusade Of Terror

Their annihilating horde had swept through the lands of the elves, killing and burning all they could get their hands on in their insatiable desire to serve. Emerging from the snowy north in the dead of night, the abominations swept through the northern forests of Hanseti and descended first on the pure High Elven city of Hael'unor, with malice in their eyes and terror in their cries. A booming sound reverberated in the area as the strong gate of Hael'unor was bashed and snapped by the brute force of the Rog-Vatok, and the wood turned to ashes in their savage wake. They stormed through the streets of the pure city, their gaze seeking any living thing who's life they could extinguish. Fortunately and indeed, mercifully for the citizens of Hael'unor, the streets were near enough deserted when the horde swept through.

 

In the path of the retreat of the monstrous horde was the majestic tree city of Luminaire, which had bore the brunt of the attacks from the northern beasts in past months. A tremendous screech was heard by the denizens of the tree city in the moments before the vicious assault, leaving little time for preparation. Descended they did, from all directions; stabbing, lunging, cleaving, thrusting, slicing and burning all living things that they came in contact with. The two larger creatures stormed into the open gates first, leading by example, one of them surprising and impaling a young dwarf in the mere moments after they emerged, blood spurting out from his unfortunate heart as the massive creature withdrew his mutated arm blade before kicking the corpse into the dust and belching rotten flesh and bile onto the corpse as a mockery to the dead. The rest of the horde poured into the city after, death followed death on either side and after a while, blood and corpses covered all Luminaire. With their deadly crusade complete, the creatures retreated north, leaving nothing but death, chaos and destruction in their wake.
