Hello all and welcome to my post! I know many of you probably do not know me but I am here to request some family members for Supremacy's wonderful idea.

 

“To give you an executive summary: I find that there are two ways to have fun when RPing a high elf. The first is to be racist to others and the second is debating who is more morally correct or pure with their own brand of the "maehr'sae hiylun'ehya" which is the high elven ideal.

 

 

Thus, a lot of the time I rally up the high elves to go on tripsto Abresi or Malinor to RP out their 'racism'. However, recently I had a thought.

 

The current high elves are magical, moderately fundamentalist and cultured. What if they were
thrown together with an anti-magic group. Both are 'pure' by high elven standards. This 'new' group arrives unaware of how prevalent magic is in current high elven society. They settle in and suddenly realize they're surrounded by mages.

 

 

Magic in the past to this group being something which has harmed them. Other cultured hunted them down for their beliefs. Thus they created a way of neutralizing magic.

One or two of these elves will be low tier in this magic blocking form (presumably of the higher tier mages died out before their arrival).

 

Immediately you have a conflict.

 

Do these elves get used to the magic the current mali'aheral have because the security of the city is good? How do they react?

 

 

One presumes it will create a lot of debate as they slowly assimilate into the current high elven culture. Plus, if people arrive in groups it makes an interesting dynamic.

 

 

Additionally we can twist how they perceive things viewed as 'cursed' in current high elven culture. Maybe they have never learnt
elven and therefore value and wear gold (it is cursed in current high elven
society). Maybe they are far more brutal about infractions on purity than the
current high elves are. Endless possibilities.”

 

 

 

Now I have come up with a few family names but you can feel free to post some of
your ideas for family names on here if you are interested.

Of course not everything is set in stone, we still need to discuss who will be leading the family, and who will have the possession of magic (being the LMs accept the lore) and so on.

I do understand what youre saying, but we have the magic to protect us do to our irrational fear of being hunted by other mages, plus the fear of being hunted by the already high elven mages due to our different views and beliefs.

It's original aspect will not be destroyed. Simply a large family of High Elves is arriving with different ideals. Have an open mind, it will be fun :).

 

On another note, I am very excited to be apart of this and start some conflict within the race of the High Elves.
