Full Name:Kael'Salai Als'Hanar

Current Age:149

Sub-race (if any):High Elf

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
Kael'Salai was born to a moderately well off High Elven family in Ravenhold. His father was an excellent gemcrafter who created jewelery for tourists and some of the higher-class elven families in the area. His mother was a quite a successful bartender at a local pub.
A traveling swordsman came to town one day and Kael saw this man engage in a duel with another man who claimed to be one the greatest swordmen of our time. This boastful man was defeated promply upon entering the duel with the traveling swordsman. After the fight Kael went up to the traveling swordsman and could find no words. Of all the people to look at, the swordsman chose him. The man said nothing as he took out one of his sheathed blades and handed it to Kael. He then looked the boy dead in the eye and told him: "Take this blade and become a true warrior. The day you become that true warrior will be the day you surpass me." This suddenly ignitend a spark of great inspiration in the boy. From that day he would train when he was not helping his father or mother to becomed that great warrior the mysterious swordsman believed he could be.
The years passed and the time when Ravenhold was attacked by Iblees's Undead armies. by that time, even if he was still a youngling, ravenhold he took up his sword to fight for the first time. Over his years of training in mimicing the swordsman's style he observed that singe day, he had made his own style. Alongside the guards of his hometown, Kael'Salai fought to protect those he could and help them to escape the Undead.
Exhausted and wounded after fighting off the undead for as long as he could, Kael'Salali returns to make sure his parents had gotten away safely before he himself escapes. He arrived at the house to find the door broken down and his parents' broken bodies laying on the floor with debris scattered about the room. Upon seeing the bodies he goes into a blind rage and it all fades into a blur. He was found and brought to a nearby town where a Dark Elven family, the Varathiens, healed him and took him in.
Kael has since lived with them and had slowly gotten over the death of his parents. He has traveled the worlds with them and opened his mind to new experiences. By traveling with the caravan, he has gotten to experience the cultures of other races and to see how his own culture has changed over the worlds. It hasn't been easy being away from his own kind now that they've changed so much. He is teased often and that flares his short temper. He often starts fights with other High Elves when they criticize his choice to live with Dark Elves, and ends up getting into trouble.
Over the many years he spent with Nelvyr he grew a close fondness for her. He always found himself beging quite protecting and caring for her. Even after the sorrow and depression of his parents death he always found a way to smile for her. He had feelings for her that weren't quite something substantsial, though to this day they lay in wait within him waiting to flourish into much more beautiful.
As soon as Nelvyr said she was leaving the family to stay behind and start he own life, Kael'Salai realized he could not leave her side. He couldn't let her go out into this new world alone; he wanted to stay by her side wherever she chooses to go. He vowed to her parents that he would protect her and make sure she stayed out of harm's way, and with that he found a new purpose.

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?

Answer:
As Kael'salai walks along the woodlands he comes across what appears to be a few rather troublesome High Elves whom seem to belittle a young High Elven child. At first Kael'salai did not seem to pay much heed to the situation as he saw no benefit to caring for the situation...but, upon looking over to see this young High Elven girl crying in response to the elders words he would seem to be taken back to the times traveling with his adoptive family...to the times his own sister was belittled by High Elves. He would grit and bare his teeth in a fit of annoyance and anger towards the High Elves. He slowly approached them looking them over, a slightly taller Elf whom seemed to be the focal point of the snickering was the first to receive Kael's attention. Kael lightly brought his right hand up tapping upon the tall Elf's right shoulder only giving him a simple "Oy!" to further gain his attention.
The taller of the two High Elves turned about and gave him a smug look and exclaimed. "What do you wa--"
His words would be cut short as Kael'salai pulled back his brow and then slammed it forward into the taller Elves' nose sending him hurtling back and onto the ground with a loud thud as he touched the forest floor. The shorter Elf turned to face Kael with an expression of disbeleif that another High Elf would strike them in such a way.
The shorter Elf burst out in a fearful stuter. "H-Hey! Why would you do that! This wretch is an impure filth! Why would you defend someone like that!? You m-must be impure too!"
The short Elf threw his hand out pointing towards Kael'salai in a persecuting manner. Kael'salai just burst out in a fit of laughter at the short Elf. He then walked over to the short Elf and stared him down, his eyes seemed to pierce through the Elf in pure hatred of Elves such as this elf that stood before him. He would finally speak out to them.
"We are a people cursed...cursed to walk these lands for centuries. We may live for near eternities but we can barely see our race continued through the next generation. Races around us seek our death and if we die...we cannot replinish our numbers...we would just fade to nothingness. This so called impure one here...she is a child, she is the future of our race, she is the greatest jewel our people can ever seek to hold. Yet you so called "purest" belittle such a gem of our kind!? No, neither she nor I are impure for it is those like you whom are impure, who are the true filth, the true trash of our race. Those whom cannot see that children such as this girl should be protected at all cost, not belittled! No the very fact you would do such shows what you are...you are no better then the damned White Rose a slow killer of your own people. You are traitors, trash, filth, scum of the lowest caliber!...Now run along before I give you the same treatment as your friend."
The shorter Elf seem to gasp at the words of the Elf, he found himself in fear and without a rebuttle to what Kael'salai had said. He would run around him quickly and try to help his friend up to his feet and drag him away.
Before that the taller Elf managed to simply glare to Kael and exclaim. "Just you wait...one day you will regret everything you did here once I am finished you filth..."
Kael'salai simply gave the shorter Elf a quick glare and an almost sadistic smile to frighten him further. The shorter elf pulled at his friend in fear and dragged him away. Kael'salai simply shrugged the situation off, he was use to ignorant fools such as that being raised by adoptive Dark Elve parents. He reached down to the crying High Elven girl and lightly ruffled her hair to get her attention.
The young elf looked up to him with still tear-filled eyes and exclaim. "W-What did I do wrong...I-I just wanted to play with my f-friends...they said it was wrong to play with Dark Elves...a-are D-Dark Elves bad?"
Kael'salai shook his head towards the girl in denial of the girl's question. He then spoke out to the girl. "I cannot decide anything for you, young one. Your decisions will always be your own, but I want you to ask yourself this: Would it be better to live hating those whom would show you a kindness just because they are different...or live with those people in tow, giving them the kindness that they would give you. So just remember if your friends are nice to you does it matter if they are Dark Elves, High Elves, or Wood Elves? They show you a kindness and you should as well. Now run along and make your choice, little one, and do not let the words of fools like those two ever change your thoughts."
The young girl's tears seemed to slowly give way to a bright smile as she nodded her head and ran off to play with her friends giving Kael'salai a light wave goodbye and a few words. "Thank you mister!"
Kael'salai would rise to his feet with a smile, bringing his right hand to the back of his head giving it a light scratch and a relieved sigh. "Man...I just wanted a lazy walk through the woods ahaha." And thus he continued his walk through the woods with a smile adorned on his face.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer:
Kael'salai trots about in the woods shirtless as he was keen to keep up his physique. He would jump off a small ledge and roll as he touched ground and continued his run. He would finally find a small spot near a stone path to sit down for  bit of a rest. He let out a long and drawn out sigh as he was quite exhausted from his heavy acrobatic and cardio display. He used the shirt he had tied to his pants as a rag to slowly dab away the sweat that dripped from his brow.
He saw an old human man walking through the stone path with his walking cane. The old man suddenly seem to trip himself on a patruding stone from the path and fall forth onto his front. As he fell his coin pouch flew forth from his pocket and onto the ground. The old and raggen pouch would easily rip open upon hitting the stone path and golden minas coins fell all of the ground. Kael'salai would at first seem to just ignore the poor man and simply wipe the sweat from his chest. Though he heard the man's feable cries for aid "Ohhh! My k-knees...c-can't get up." these cries at first were nothing to Kael but soon...the screeching voice of his adoptive sister scolding him for not helping the old man even if he was a human popped into his mind. Kael'salai seemed to go a bit pale in the face at just the thought of his sisters inevitable scolding. Kael'salai let out a light sigh followed with a few words under his breath. "...I cannot belive I am going to do this."
Kael'salai finally stood up and turn proptly to the old man, he walked over to look the poor fellow over before he would lightly reach down and give the old man his hands. The old man saw the hand and promptly reached out grabbing at his wrist to which he put what strength he had into pulling himself up along with Kael'salai's strength. Upon standing up right the old man would let out a soft and slightly saddened sigh and exclaim.
"I am sorry to trouble you my dear boy, my eye sight is not what it once was and seems I tripped myself upon a stone...I am sorry to trouble you."
Kael'salai just looked at him with a mildly empty expression, he kept silent kneeling down to slowly gather the man's minas coins and placng them within the ripped pouching making sure the newly made rip was upright as to not spill the coin once more. He finally handed the coin to the old man and finally spoke out.
"Eh...don't worry about it. I just happened to be close by so I just acted...no reason to really worry yourself over my actions." The old man let out a light chuckle and reached out taking his coin. He would reach into the coin purse and pull out a single minas coin and extend it to Kael'salai softly saying.
"Hear you go lad...just a little something for a young man who was willing to help an old soul like myself." Kael'salai's eyes would light up as he held onto the golden coin. He knew he could put this coin towards something extremely fabulous, perhaps a golden brooch, perhaps an ornate sword or dagger, or even some fantastical elven armor! Maybe some fine wine he could share with his sister, something truly refined and delightful. But soon he came out of his delusional world of the finer things in life and placed the coin in his pocket. He then lightly dipped his head in respect of the old man and replied.
"Thank you, I wish you well on your journey through Malinor." The old man smiled and gave him a light nod exclaiming. "Thank you lad, be well." The old man finally continued on his way through the forest. Kael'salai would smile at the thought of the things he could buy with just a few more minas, but he just shook those thoughts away and went on about his run.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

Answer:
Kael'salai slowly walks over to this small carriage which seem to hold all manor of amazing items. The Trader who owned the carriage would wave his hand about to all the fantastic wares. The Merchant made sure to show the High Elf the finer wares he had to offer as well. He promptly spoke out to Kael'salai.
"My fine friend you will find no better ornate wares then here at my carriage and I am sure an Elf of your greatness will truly enjoy my fine wares, golden broochs, rings, fashionable cloathing, or perhaps you are one for a symbol of both nobility and strength! If so I have many blades gathered from the best smithers from all about Anthos! Come browse to your hearts delight."         Kael'salai's eyes would seem to sprakle in a childish glee at all the finer things this man held in his carriage...but something above all else caught his eye. A ornate blade crafted from what seemed to be some manner of blue metal. It was as beautiful as it was sharp and deadly, Kael'salai knew he had to have such a fantastic work of blade crafting. He knew it would be quite the pricey item and he only had 500 minus at his disposal currently. He would bring his right hand up lightly pointing at the ornate blade and questioned the merchant.
"That blade there, what is your asking price for such a blade?" The Merchant would smile brightly at the potential buyer of one of his finest blades. The merchant would grab the blade and it's sheath from the top part of his carriage and place it upon the counter part of the carriage. He looked at Kael'salai and spoke out.
"This lovely piece of metal work is something I gained from another merchant, he claimed it was made my a master sword smith from a very strong metal. This lovely piece could be yours for 1500 minus."
Kael'salai would suddenly take up a false look of shock upon his face and burst forth in a frantic explination.
"But my good Merchant...do you not know the grave tail of this blade and it's forlorn creator?"
The merchant would lightly chuckle and pretend to still have the upper hand in this and exclaim. "But of course, though I am sure you would love to tell me it's tale nonetheless so go on me boy." Kael'salai would place his hands upon the counter and take a grim expression to his face and exclaim.
"My good man...this is a cursed blade. The smith whom makes such a blade is quite a legend...I am suprised you have not heard of it. This sword's smith worked for five years to forge 3 great blades. Each sword was given to the owner that had requested the blades...except for one...the most beautiful of all blades was meant to be given to the strongest of the three whom requested a blade from him. This man came and was given the blade to see if it was satsifactory, but something was strange with this man...he seemed a bit crazed to the old smith. His suspicions were on good ground because...the man killed the old smith with his own blade, bificating the poor smith. Though upon his dying breath he cursed the blade to carry his vendictive spirit for eternity so that all whom hold this blade will meet with doom and eventual death just as he met with his own demise. Needless to say the man did die a few nights later while sleeping in a small cave he was attacked in the night by another man who sought the craftsmenship of this blade. Though this man too did meet with a grim fate, and so on and so forth...this blade is wicked! You must not keep it for it will end in your demise, it must be destroyed..." The Merchant suddenly seem to go a bit pale of face and look at the blade but then back to Kael'salai exclaiming in a shaky voice.
"I... I do not believe you...you are trying to swindle me! Y-You must be, the old merchant whom held the blade told me of no such tale..." Kael'salai would chuckle in his head as he knew the man was starting to worry about the blade. Even more so he knew he could pray on the little the other merchant seem to have told him and the fact he could not sell it. Kael'salai threw his hands down on the counter seeming to be quite frantic in nature exclaiming.
"Listen to me, why do you think the other merchant would not be able to sell such a masterpiece!? Why else would he be so willing to hand it over to you...even so if you think I am swindling you I will buy some of your finest wine for 100 minus to prove I am not! This weapon must be taken to an Elven enchanted smith to dispose of it before it claims your life! Please you must listen!" The Merchant seem to be even more frantic by Kael'salai's supposid sincereness. He would look about and be in a slight panic and exclaim.
"W-Well if you would be willing to buy two of my finest reserve wine for 500 minas I-I would be w-wiling to part with the cursed blade."
Kael'salai would promptly bring out his coin and ready to place all of it upon the counter and exclaim.
"Quickly bring me the bottles this blade must be destroyed soon!" The merchant quickly complied and brought him the two bottles of wine and gave him the sword without a second thought. Kael'salai lightly bowed to him and seem to run off as if to quickly destroy the blade towards Leumelon. In actuality the whole time he had a bright smile upon his face thinking of the amazing blade he could show his sister and finally show her why the finest things in life really are worth the effort to get. He knew she had to enjoy these bottles of wine...just as long as he did not mention how he obtained them and the sword. Kael'salai now content and happy simply set off back to his and his sisters home.
