The Discovery Of Krurg

As Krurg runs full pelt for the Lur fort, the denizens of the night following, he hears a sound much hated in front of him. The sound of one of the giant spiders that roam the desert at night. As he tuns up to the spider, and uses its fleshy abdomen as a springboard, keeping away from the vicious fangs, the whizzing sound of an arrow passes by his head. As he turns, he sees to his horror, a horde of bonewalkers running after him, nocking and firing constantly. Without a second through, Krurg turns heel and runs.

As he swerves from side to side, the arrows smacking into the sand behind his heels, whizzing by his shoulders, and scraping along his bald head, Krurg eyes an undead. One of the strange uruk corpses that seem restless turns to him, it's lower jaw hanging by a mere strip of rotten, diseased skin ripping with the motion, the jaw dropping to sand without a sound. Krurg halts momentarily, but begins running again as the arrows whizz by.

As he tuns closer, he notices a strange blade in the corpse's hand, one of which he has never seen before. Krurg rushes forwrads, sliding under the clumsy strike and through the undead uruk's legs, looking up as the uruk slowly turns, the bare top of his skull suddenly fracturing and exploding out as an arrow rips through it's skull. Trapped between the skeletons and a high sand dune, Krurg slides forward sin the sand, grabbing the blade, and running in a zig-zagging motion towards the skeletons.

As he nears the first skeleton, he swings a wild, horizontal slash at the spine, and is turned by the momentum as the blade rips through the bone with ease, as he falls, an arrow rips into the sand beside him, cutting open his scalp as he pushes himself to his feet and  rushes towards the next bonewalker, and slashes at its bow arm, the blade shearing through the bone once again. As he charges for the third, leaving the crippled, and therefore useless skeleton in the sand as the light of dawn fills the horizon.

As he charges at the third, the bonewalker suddenly writhes as flames appear on the top of it's head and spread down its body in the light of the sun. Krurg slashes at it's retreating back, dropping the skeleton as the others run for safety. Panting hard, Krurg turns and runs for the Lur fort in a hurry, blood pouring from his scalp.

As he rushes into the Lur fort, he immediately runs to the smith, dropping the sword, and pointing at the blade, shouting excitedly "Dat zult nub lyk ani mi ebar peep bifur. Id kut da bonewulkars intu lutttul piezes. Mayk anudder, mayk ash fur ull da Lurz." with that final command, he runs to his father's blarg, dancing excitedly as he tells of his discovery.

OOC:

This blade, which is yet to be named, would be for the Lur clan's use. I am not sure, but I think attaching their soul stone to the pommel would result in it being bound to their soul.

This sword is known as the "Compensator", and I have a few videos for all of you to watch:

((Please note that there will be changes to the appearance and structure of the hilt, likely the hilt being made of bone, but the blade will be the same. Also, the videos are more there as evidence of what such a blade is capable of.))

Pure OOC:

Mmmm.
As far as I could see, said 'Compensator' is only ripping through soft foam with ease. It clearly bounced off the harder material which was meant to function as 'skull'.. This isn't a sword that can chop through bone. You need a heavier blade. Somewhat alike old Executioner swords. The shape itself is nice'n decorative. Reminds me of an Egyptian Khopesh.

Don't assume that slicing through foam dummies is evidence for its capabilities.
It's simply misleading, set up to trick uninformed zombie-enthusiasts to buy such a blade, which'd likely never see actual combat-use.

Proper test cuts are done on animal corpses, or tameshigiri mats...

Tameshigiri mats generally exist out of soaked tatami on the outside, with hard bamboo on the inside, and has about the same density as a human arm.

A proper cut, is 'clean'. There shouldn't be ruptured material, as this proves that the blade or the technique isn't sharp enough.
In 'tameshigiri', a perfect cut is considered a cut where the material 'sticks'. When the mats are cut, but do not fall.

((The fact it can go through cinder blocks with such ease leaves little to my imagination as to what an orc could with one of those in his hands. The sheer power of the swings would probably make up for however lacking in weight it is, and it would be light enough to swing quickly.))
