Current Age: 130 years but looks 20 because of the elven curse

Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+
paragraphs long):

In a lone cabin in the woods lived a poor couple. They had hoped for a child and finally had conceived a baby girl. When she was born she had eyes green as fresh spring grass and golden brown hair. She was beautiful. They named her Leyutayna, beautiful life.
Leyutayna’s mother would tell her the story of God and how he created Man and Woman, and of their four sons, Malinor, father of the elves, Krug, father of the orcs, Horen, father of the humans, and Urguan, master of the dwarves. She would say how Iblees tricked the four sons and how he cursed them. Iblees scared Leyutayna, but she loved the story of how it all began.
Leyutayna grew up beautiful, sweet, and quietly in the forest. She was generous and had a kind heart, but her luck was about to change on her. They were separated from most civilization and rarely had any visitors, but she was taught manners and kindness. Her father taught her to use a bow and arrow and, after decades of practice and training, she became a very well trained hunter. Her mother was her teacher. She would learn of their history and of the other races. She learned to cook, and how to survive in the woods. Leyutayna was a happy girl.
Mother lost track really of where we were but her explanations would normally end like, “ but I believe we are deep in the forests around Elandriel.” Leyutayna never complained though, she loved the forest and didn’t mind not being around people.

Leyutayna was always close to her parents and it hurt her very much when her mother got sick. Father tried to help her but mother seemed so miserable and frail. She was weak to begin with but being sick made her look deathly. She was in so much pain and had a high fever. Her eyes were red and she was so thirsty no mater how much water you gave her. The days went on and Leyutayna’s mother just got worse, at night her moans of pain echoed through the forest. Leyutayna would stay at her mother’s side endlessly; she would fetch her water or some pain herbs.

Leyutayna’s father couldn’t bear to see this, he knew soon his daughter could get sick as well and he couldn’t risk that, so he made his choice. The next morning he told his daughter, “I can’t risk you getting sick, I don’t know what this disease is and if it will hurt you, I couldn’t stand to see you in that much pain anyway, not my only daughter. I will care for your mother. You must make your own way now, Leyutayna. You are an adult now. Go now, pack your things.” Leyutayna’s eyes watered, she didn’t want to abandon her mother but she did so long to explore to world. She hugged her father and ran to pack her things.
“Maln, are you certain you and Haelun will be alright?” Leyutayna asked her father.

“We shall be alright. Now, I suggest you head that way,” he pointed a direction in the woods. Leyutayna thought that direction would be west but wasn’t quiet sure as the sun had not risen yet. She hugged her father one last time and headed off.

About four weeks after Leyutayna left home she met up with a caravan that was heading to the new world and leave Asulon behind. They said she could join them. Leyutayna jumped at the chance to travel to a new world. She joined with the caravan and traveled to a large boat on which they boarded. Leyutayna felt sick being out of the woods and so slept on the ride. They awoke her in the new world. After departing the boat she left the caravan and now stood in the new world of Anthos.
Now Leyutayna is a lonely traveler on her own in a new world with no parents, no friends, no home, and limited supplies.

.

____

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the
sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of
older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?

Answer:

They appear it be a group of older elves picking on a young wood elf because she has such dark skin. I watch for a moment before walking into the clearing and shouting “hey, leave her alone!” The little girl keeps crying but the older elves heard me and aren’t happy. “Who do you think-“ started one of the bigger men but I interrupt him.
“Who I am doesn’t matter, but who do you think you are to think you are good enough to pick on such an innocent little girl!” At this time the girl had stopped crying and had walked over to my side and was watching me. I start to shout louder.

“Now you either get out of here and leaver her alone or things are going to get ugly!” As none of the older elves had weapons and didn’t appear to be fighters this threat was worthwhile. And they began to step back and walk away grumbling, “pesky wood elves.”
I notice the little girl was holding my hand and smiling. I ask her “are you alright Sweetie?” She smiles widely showing her dimples, “you saved me.” I gave the little girl a hug and as we start to walk.
“So where’s your village?” I ask her with a smile still holding her hand. She points in the opposite direction the High elves went and a little off to the right. We walk quietly until we sight the village just through the branches. I kneel down and kiss her forehead.
“You’re beautiful and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, ok?” I smile and hug her one last time. She nods and whispers “thank you” with tears in her eyes. Then she turns and walks into the village, and I watch her walk into one of the houses before turning and walking away.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come
across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you,
falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch
of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the
pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer:

I gasp and jump to help the old man. I help him sit up and rest again a tree, he's all right just unconscious. "Sir? Are you alright?" He’s breathing but is very still. I look at the coins and gather them up. I dump them all back in the pouch and place it next to him. Afterwards, I start a small fire, as the sun is setting, being quiet as to not wake the old man.
I pull some bread out of my bag and eat a little wondering what happened to the old man and if he'll be alright. Without thinking I mumble aloud "I really don’t want to bury another person."

Then I hear a sound like a chuckle from the old man, "You better not bury me, 'cuz I ain't dead." The old man moves a bit and then smiles.
I smile back a bit embarrassed "Uh, sorry, I was just worried bout you."
"I may be old but I'm stubborn as hell," the old man chuckles a bit as reaches forward and accepts the bread I offer him.

"So you're alright? Can you walk?" I asked him.
"I'll be able to walk in the morning." He answered before taking a bite of bread.
I smile and lay back down with my head on a bed of clover. “Well, we can rest here and head our separate ways in the morning.”

The old man smiles warmly and replies softly, “That would be nice. It’s been awhile since I’ve had good company.” The old man rests back against the tree and looks up at the stars; we both drift off to sleep.
“Morning sunshine!” I hear the old man yell as he is stomping around just as the sun is rising. I watch in awe unable to believe this is the same old man who fell yesterday. I chuckle a bit and sit up and stretch. The old man smiles at me and says, “See? I told you I’d be better in the morning.” He dances around a bit and laughs aloud.
“I’m glad.” I smile and pick up my bag. “Well, I should be on my way. Be careful sir,” I turn to leave but his hand on my shoulder stops me, and I look back at him.

“I didn’t get to thank you Miss.” He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his coin purse and put about ten coins in my hand. He looks at me with a gentle face, “take this and my blessing as my thanks.” I smile and nod, put the coins in my pocket and walk away. I turn to wave one last time but the man is gone.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across
a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of
it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his
carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle
for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for
prices and the discussion involved).

Answer:

I look at the trader and decide he's not shifty enough to be a thief. "Alright," I say walking over and rummage carefully through the good and find a bow in good condition. I think to myself: “Hmmm I could use a new bow. Mine’s pretty worn out as it is.”

The trader looks over the bow, as he leans on his cart, "you like the bow? I bought it off an old man, he said its lucky."

“Lucky huh? I could use some luck. Alright how much?" I ask.

The trader chuckles a little and he replied “350 minas."

I gape at the price,"350? I don’t have that much! How about 250?"

“350.” He says laughing and shaking his head.

I look in my bag of supplies and count my coins again quietly. I then look at my other items: five leather pelts, arrows, bread, a damaged axe, and a bit of wool, I form a deal in my head.

"200, five leather pelts and some wool?" I offer watching the trader carefully.

The trader scratched his chin and looked over my wool and leather pelts then looked at the bow. He nods slowly snatching up the items and smiling broadly. “Deal!”

I take the bow as I leave thetrader and his cart.

"Time to test it," I mumble to myself, I pull out one of my arrows and notch it on my new bow. I pull back and aim carefully at a cow seven trees away. I pull back as far as I could on the bow. Then suddenly the bow shatters! The wood of the bow was too brittle for use of any kind!
This bow I just spent my whole days hunting earnings and money on just broke. I stare at the pieces of splintered wood and string in my hands and sigh. That trader just ripped me.

You're literally an inch from being accepted. The only thing I need now is a proper definition of power-emoting. Technically your definition can be applied here, but it's a bit off from the actual definition. I've provided a link below to the actual definition. Please put there in your own words and edit your application, inserting the correct definition this time! :)

Oh, and of course, don't copy it. Put it in your own words!

Message me when you are done editing this!

Please don't post another application in 24 hours. It helps us keep the forums nice and organized. Thanks!

Noteworthy Hints and Resources:

You come to Asulon to Develop a Character, not have one Developed already

Just because you play RPG's, doesn't mean you have RPed before.

Don't post another application in a period of one (1) day. It clogs up the applications section, and doesn't prove to us that you have improved upon your application.
