Event Team Q & A #2

 Share

Recommended Posts

Run me through on the process you all do to accept events or deny the events? After one is denied, can the changes be made and resubmitted? After one is accepted, what then?

After denied you are free to resubmit after changes are made. If it gets denied again maybe it is best to move on.

After an event is accepted an event team actor will act as a coordinator and plan out any other details of the event/help modify it. The trickiest part is getting the event planner, the players and actors all on together. That's why we also do spontaneous mini-events.

You guys ever gonna take a look at the apps anytime soon, more specifically, the actor apps?

Viper will accept 1-2 this week. Read the earlier posts.

I would say questions have been answered near instantaneously... Don't make me get my spiked club of doom.

What is the most important part of an actor application? I would assume the Scenarios but is spelling, grammar and other things like that weighted the same? Also, in the last thread I believe it said references are not that important. Is that true?

References on any app do not usually help the app. Honesty is a nice thing to put into an app. If an applicant is going to be active is hard thing to judge but if you plan to just get the tag and go inactive you really should stay away from applying. I think the most important part isn't even the app which also goes for any staff app in my opinion. If we see a person that is a great RP-er but is rude OOCly and on the forums they are going to be denied or looked over. Honesty, kindness and positivism is what I think we look for in an applicant. Actors need a good public image if they are going to be successful. If you have problems getting along in the community I personally think you should attempt to fix those problems because joining a staff team won't help.

Kralta is always fun. :) Same with Salvus. From my experience if a place looks nice they are more likely to have an actor inspired to do an event there.

Most likely i like to make Events around the dwarven kingdom and sometimes Malinor. And as kitten allready said, a good builded place just really motivates you to make a Event.

Is the Event Team working on a grand storyline/arc, all the events somehow linked and leading up to something, perhaps?
