Rumors of a City

Rumors have been spreading around Anthos from whisper to whisper about a new city in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan being built. These rumors circulate around the fort of Storm’s Crossing being renovated with shops and homes, along with a hint from one of the Dwarven Paragons. With a decreasing Dwarven Population could this new city be a way to attract more Dwarves, like he Trog was to the Orcs, or could this be a step in a much larger plan? The Steamer will keep you updated.

New Veins Struck

Cheers have gone up around Anthos and trade has been flourishing with large veins of Iron, Gold, and Carbarum appearing all around Anthos. Miners are once again thriving as they come up from the caves with armloads of gems and jewels. Will these new veins bring peace or war to the lands of Anthos? The Steamer will be monitoring the progression of this gem trade.

War in the South

In recent times the Grand Kingdom of Urguan has been invaded by the Aytos Society. The Aytos Society have built a small village in the Dwarven lands near Storm’s Crossing. During the past week raids conducted by both parties have been occuring and open warfare has begun between the two parties. Luckily, we had the chance to sit down with The Grand Marshal of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and discuss the subject.

Fariken Irongut sits down at the table

Fariken Irongut: Hello Grand Marshal Zahrer, it is a pleasure to talk with you.

Zahrer Irongrinder: Hello

Fariken Irongut: I have recently noticed that the Aytos Society has invaded the Dwarven Lands. What do you think of their military strength?

Zahrer Irongrinder: They will not survive long. Any raids they have won up to this point we're all on unarmed and unsuspecting dwarves. Aside from what they claim as victories, I have led multiple attacks on their settlement and we have yet to lose a single dwarf.

Fariken Irongut: That sounds like it's a very one sided war, do you think that these raids has had any type of affect on their men?

Zahrer Irongrinder: Aside from loss of life, we are depleting their stores of weapons and armor.

Fariken Irongut: It seems that they will not survive long with these conditions continuing, do you think that they will last much longer?

Zahrer Irongrinder: No, we have yet to use any siege equipment but when we do, their village will not stand long.

Fariken Irongut: Why do you think the Aytosians decided to try and take your land in the first place?

Zahrer Irongrinder: They are nothing more than mindless barbarians. Why else would someone try and take land from the Dwarves?

Fariken Irongut nods

Fariken Irongut: Yes, I see what you mean. Well, thank you for talking with me Lord Zahrer.

Fariken Irongut holds out his hand

Zahrer Irongrinder nods and shakes his hand

Goldman Returns

Towards the beginning of Anthos there were three families with money, The Dwarven Frostbeards, The Dwarven Irehearts, and the richest, The Human Goldmans. Soon after the death of Toveah Goldman, the Goldman monopoly fell to be replaced by the Ireheart and Grandaxe. Now though, the Goldmans are back to building their wealth and their fame.

Tuv Goldman has taken up the reins from the long deceased Toveah Goldman and has already earned fame as the King of Renatus and as a very wealthy individual. Tuv Goldman’s wealth is estimated to be even greater than his predecessor, Toveah’s. It is also speculated that he may have driven the Goldmans to be the richest family in Anthos once again.

Buildings Fall

Change has been happening all over lands of Oren! The Government of the Empire has been clearing it’s lands of many uninhabited keeps and towns, allowing a natural beauty to soak through and show. Currently the three major landmarks that have been torn down are the Town of Ager, The Lion Knight’s Keep near Abresi, and the Keep owned by House Valois. Along with this, Tuv Goldman has begun the slow reconstruction of Abresi so as to make popular hubs of conversation.
