Warclaim On Lichisland

    friendly. Frankly the MAT have no say on what the island possesses. They

    only have a say on the mana-pools, which was voided.]

Well, if you really want to highlight massive holes in existing lore for the Lore Team to pull out the emergency Void And Deny Blaster then go ahead. If you don't have people to actually RP as this horde of creatures, then they aren't valid for a warclaim. The orcs have loads of Lur Wolves. They don't say "oh no you cant attack we have sign wolvesw". If you have the players to RP these things, then use them. Give them swords to represent claws and get them to defend the island. If you don't have the players to RP them, then they are not valid for the purposes of a warclaim.  Nobody else gets to defend their island with a Bambi Army of oddly human-minded wildlife.

 

I'll repeat, if they can walk onto your island and kill you all, then they can walk onto your island and kill you all. If you want to defend your island, get a wall, OOC shields are notoriously brittle.

Besides, if they slaughter anything that approaches, why aren't the current inhabitants dead? Unless you're going to tell me the current inhabitants "befriended" them...

After a discussion the following has been concluded:

• The Gavernach either died out of old age or was slain by the order of the White Rose. Precisely what happened is unknown however it had no offspring and thus there is no violent fish defending the island.
• Both the Wolves and the Spiders could not have been fed on such a small island by one person. They have also died.
• Hooks never inhabited the island.
• No other violent animal, plant or creature inhabits the island.

It is also noteworthy the island has no magical properties which make it innately more defendable than any other location. Finally, I will note this does not accept or deny the war claim. I am simply noting what is possibly on the island (which at this point is nothing but the player inhabitants).

 

The war claim still must, like all war claims, be agreed upon between the two parties involved. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and have a good day.

((I have asked a GM if I am allowed to deny the continuation of this warclaim and this GM said yes. After some events in a skype chat, I have decided to deny this warclaim. I just recently got the island back (1 day ago) and I'd like to RP a bit with and start developing some stories with it before it is assaulted by these armies. ((To my knowledge the current owner of Lich Island has gone back on what they said and will not be accepting the war claim for the reason "Yea, nevermind. I can now see it won't be easy at all to have a fun and fluid RP event. Denying the WarClaim. Thank you to those that were resonable." I will be talking to a mod or admin, as there isnt sufficient RP reasoning to deny this war claim. I would like to add that when Lich Island was taken from us through OOC means with NO RP whatsoever, we just logged on to find our perms missing, we did not create a massive fuss. I graciously accepted it as Viper had recently posted about not putting too much import on MC items. Kraal was aware that we would be war claiming him in future to create cool RP. 

 

Its disapointing that said party is behaving in a manner that is completely different to how we behaved when we lost our island purely through OOC. If there isn't a legitimate RP reason for not accepting the war claim then I will pleasantly ask a mod or admin to intervene and view both sides of the argument.

EDIT: Also said person has requested that the war claim be denied because they have only had it for a day and want to create some RP stories, I would like to add that we had the island for three hours when we were war claimed, once again disappointed that we haven't received the same courtesy we gave you guys.

It would be pointless to the wolven guard because all it is is an island with large man-eating fishes, a long cave system with a Lich that will brutally murder you. It isn't like the fort it used to be, it's actually a beautiful island.]
