The Sack Of The Winterfort

Novice Jonathan Othaman stood atop the walls of the Winterfort as the first orcs came into sight. Daring a quick glance back at his comrades, he is saddened to see how few and unequiped there were. Where were the reinforcements that should have arrived?

Jonathan's thoughts are quickly turned away though as the first orcs make their way up the mountain. He could make out his friend, Kronus, take an arrow and fall off the wall next to him. Jonathan's arrows seem to bounce off the plate of the orcs, and soon they were upon him with ladders.

Jon turned just in time to see the commanding officer go to the dining hall to make his final stand and followed him, but as soon as they almost reached it, an orc jumped off the wall and killed the officer. Jon slashed at the orc's neck and removed it from his shoulders, and then, he was running again.

Taking two steps at a time, Jon flew up the Novice tower, locking each door behind him. Finally, at the top he rained hell on the orcs below. All his comrades lay slain, yet he was going to avenge them. Many orcs fell to his shafts, but there were to many, and soon they were climbing up ladders to him. Draw and shoot. Draw and shoot. Those were the last things he did before the orcs were upon him.

Sometime after the battle back at the castle, a surviving peasant told of the deeds Jon accomplished. He was promoted to the rank of Radiant and given the task to defend the realm.

Buubztik doesn't remember a single Orc or Orcish ally being lost throughout the whole day. He walks over to his house, where he now has a full double chest of the good stuff from the day's pillage-maim-and-burn fest.
